NOLAN'S POV

There were two documents in the folder named "That night." I opened the first one, and let out a dry laugh. It was the video of Rubby and Alexander that night in China.

"You snake!" I spat. Look how excellently he had handled it, and made someone else take the fall. It wasn't Mirabelle after all, neither was it Trisha.

For a split second, I felt bad for having betrayed Trisha; Josh was even the deadlier snake here; I shouldn't have started with him at all.

I tapped on the other video, and it started playing.

At first, it was shaky, as though the person recording had been hiding or was trying to gain balance where he or she stood.

For the first fifteen to twenty seconds, it felt as though he or she was recording the sky, but when the camera became steady, I could see two figures on the rooftop.

I couldn't hear what they said, because of how the wind howled through the speakers, but I didn't need to hear them to understand what was going on.
