9. It's Cold and Dead

~Louis's POV~

This feels like a crime. Never in my whole ninety-nine years of life, the thought of finding or wanting my mate ever crossed my mind.

My life was perfect the way it was, there was no need for me to be bound with a girl who was not even from my race. What the fuck was that?

A hybrid?

Out of all people in the world, a hybrid was chosen for me?

Fuck it, Michelle is a hundred times better than her.

A groan left my mouth as her furious red eyes and beautifully draped in black dress body flashed in my mind.

She is beautiful... Her mid-length hair was messed up, and her makeup was all over the place, but still, the aggression looked perfect on her tall body frame, which was showing off her sexy curves. Though she was pretty messed up from head to toe, she still looked beautiful. And she still does...

I know what I desired and wanted my whole life, but she was never a part of it, nor could she become a part of it. She doesn't belong here. She doesn't belong with me.

Beauty or not, a hybrid shouldn't exist. And a hybrid can never be my mate.

Her tied hands were behind her back while her hair was all over her face. She was lying on the ground in the same room as before. Michelle shot her with a huge amount of wolfsbane and sedative; there was no way she was waking up anytime soon.

It's good that she won't. I need time to figure out what I need to do with her.

Her touch ruined everything that I planned for her. I left all the exits open for her so she could know and taste the helplessness, but that brief touch ruined all my thoughts and plans.

My mind was jinxed when I saw her for the first time on Samuel's shoulder. Something was pushing me towards her every time I got a glimpse of her. I brushed it off, thinking it was just my libido pumping after seeing a sexy werewolf but lord, it was way fucking more than that.

And now, when I think of all that has been done to her till now, I freaking want to beat the shit out of Samuel and Abel.

Abel is far away from my reach. He is the sole reason why she is here, but Samuel... I fucking can't get the sight of him licking her earlobe out of my head. I don't want to think about it, but I can't help it. Nobody ever touched the women who belonged to me. And doesn't matter if I accept it or not, Aliyah is related to me in the most unhappening way.

I fucking don't know what should I do with her. My father would burn me alive if he got to know I killed my mate or let anyone else kill her. I already made the situation complex for myself the moment I abducted her, but now the tables have turned, and they have that burning essence in them that can burn me in this raging fire in just two seconds.

Neither can I let her go. This would rage a war between werewolves and vampires, and my father, who has always stayed on top of the world after having me, would be berated in front of the whole supernatural world.

Fuck, why couldn't I be mateless like my father for a century?

He wanted a mate, still, he had to wait more than a thousand years for her, whereas I wanted to spend an eternity around different women from different parts of the world. The blood goddess has definitely planned a path for me that would not let me live an eternity.

I walked to Aliyah and crouched beside her. As a werewolf, she must have identified me as her mate the first time she saw me. My most horrifying picture has been painted in her mind. Though I am what she saw, this wasn't how she must have thought of her mate or her life after meeting her mate.

Her hair was falling on her face. My jaw clenched as I took my hand to her face with a neglecting feeling towards this bond and hoping the earlier feeling was wrong, but to my dismay, my mere touch over her soft cheek gave me a tingling sensation that I had never gotten in my life before.

My body and heart were always cold until today. Just a mere touch of her skin made me feel warm and gave me tingling sensations, which was... Not possible for me.

My hand found its way back to her cheek in the itch to feel the tingling again. This time, she moved a little, and a soft sound came out of her mouth. The little moan instantly made my length hard, and I groaned. She was freaking trying to take control over my body.

She looks innocent. Her face, voice, and her honey eyes... Everything screams of innocence. What could have possibly happened between her and Abel that Abel had to die?

"Done thinking how she will live the last days of her life?" I heard Michelle's voice from behind.

Samuel and Michelle were in the room, smirking at Aliyah, who had no clue how worse her life would become in their hands.

"I have an antidote of wolfsbane. She would wake up soon with this, and then we can get a good show," Samuel said.

"You didn't tell me what exactly happened between Damien Knight and Abel. Why did he kill Abel?" I asked Samuel.

"Don't tell me you are developing a soft corner for that abomination," Michelle spat.

I smirked and stood to face Michelle, "I don't have a heart, Michelle. It's cold and dead."

"That's like my man."

She wrapped her hands around my arms, and I prevented myself from sighing. I wasn't feeling good... Her touch didn't feel good...

Signalling her to move aside, my attention was back on Samuel, who didn't answer me yet.

"Nothing new. You know he loves to create problems. He couldn't keep his eyes off her, well, not to deny that she is a beauty, even I would love to have every inch of her body. He made a move to talk, she denied, he insisted, and got killed by Damien Knight."

Every vein in my body was threatening to burst. I never felt this kind of rage towards Samuel but right now I freaking want to rip his wind pipe out. Her body belongs to me... Not to anyone else.

"That's it?" I asked, keeping myself calm.

He nodded, "That's it."

Well, that wasn't a crime to die for. I need to think about the perfect punishment for Knights; this one seems to be messing with me.

I grabbed Michelle's hand and gazed at Samuel, "No antidote will be given to her. Let her stay the way she is, and I will deal with her later. No one will come here or try to do anything to her before I say so. But blindfold her, I want her to struggle more."

I walked out of the room with Michelle and smirked. She caused enough trouble for me, so she deserves to get back what she gave.
