69: The Bond of No Return

The dreams were becoming a daily occurrence now, every night, I was plagued by the awareness that there was something out there whose destiny was to kill me. Getting a seer had not helped too as the only thing it had done was to increase my anxiety. Bravery was a fallacy when you didn't know what exactly was coming for you.

I paced on my balcony, a place that has become my solace in the past few days. Sophia was continuously nagging me about what the seer had said but I couldn't tell her, I didn't feel the need to let her know the inner turmoil that was going on inside of me. The council has spoken to me about the curb of attacks caused by the ghost hunters. It was a relief, a bright light in the darkness that has enshrined me in its cocoon since the nightmares began.
