Aria POV

I and Viktor remains in the bedroom up until afternoon, and for the very first time, I woke before him.

I was right beside him exactly how we slept these past few days, and he looked completely at peace while sleeping, there was no appearance of last night’s trauma.

His cheek bone was swollen with a bluish tint as expected, but it didn’t make him any less attractive and for some strange reason this small bruise on his beautiful face even made him more handsome.

He stirred suddenly and

  • Viktor Blacktop Bride    Viktor Nightmare

Aria POV That night, familiar sounds of distress woke me. I sat up and fumbled for the light switch, blinking against the sudden brightness.Viktor jerked upright beside me, his hand reaching for the bedside table and grabbing his knife. His wild eyes locked on me, chest heaving, his fingers clutching the handle.“I’m getting Alexei,” I murmured and slowly slid out of bed, worried about startling Viktor. His free hand curled around my wrist, stopping me.I gasped in surprise, my eyes searching his face. The wild despair was gone from his expression, replaced by a mix of confusion and the familiar blankness he had always displayed in the past. “Stay,” he said quietly.Hesitating, I climbed back into bed, and he pulled me toward him.I settled on his chest. He put the knife back down on his nightstand, but the tension remained in his body.Tracing the tattoos on his chest, I tried to count his scars to distract myself, but it was difficult to determine where many of them ended and othe

Aria POV I and Viktor remains in the bedroom up until afternoon, and for the very first time, I woke before him.I was right beside him exactly how we slept these past few days, and he looked completely at peace while sleeping, there was no appearance of last night’s trauma. His cheek bone was swollen with a bluish tint as expected, but it didn’t make him any less attractive and for some strange reason this small bruise on his beautiful face even made him more handsome. He stirred suddenly and opened his eyes. I smiled at him. “How do you feel?”He remained silent for a few heartbeats. “I don't know.”“You don't know?” I echoed, surprise, but he didn’t explain further. He untangled himself from the blankets and sat up with a slight wince, his palm pressing up against his ribs. “Do you need something for the pain?”“No,” he said. “It’ll fade and pain is actually good to keep you moving but next time I’ll have to be better so my opponent doesn’t land punches like this.”I climbed out o

  • Viktor Blacktop Bride    Viktor is ice

Aria POVWhatever had created the men standing before me had shaped them into complete opposites.Alexei was fire while Viktor was ice.One burned through everything in his path, while the other buried everything beneath layers of cold control but somehow, those differences didn't divide them rather they bound them together.Watching them now, I realized their connection went deeper than blood. It was forged through memories neither of them would ever share with the rest of the world maybe Viktor had become the calm that balanced Alexei's storms and Alexei carried the emotions Viktor refused to acknowledge or they simply carried pieces of each other that nobody else could understand.Whatever it was, it was unbreakable and I knew I would never fully understand it.My eyes shifted back to Viktor and the moment his gray eyes settled on me, warmth spread through my chest.Every instinct urged me to cross the room and throw my arms around him.I wanted to comfort him and tell him everyth

  • Viktor Blacktop Bride    Viktor pain

Aria POVThe sight that greeted me in the hallway rooted me to the spot.Alexei was on one knee beside Viktor, one hand gripping his shoulder so he could somehow keep him anchored to the ground.Viktor was obviously in pain and I didn't know what to do about it.I hated that Alexei came and help out when I was there and I really feel useless especially since Viktor has been helpful to me in all ways possible but I still haven't done a single thing for him.For a moment, neither of them noticed me because they looked frozen in place, trapped inside a memory neither will speak openly about. I wondered if this happened because of a memory from their childhood. The two brothers looked almost unreal beneath the dim lights of the corridor shined on the dark tattoos winding over powerful muscles and the hard lines carved into their bodies, it was like looking at fallen angels cast out of heaven long ago.My gaze lingered on the broken-winged angel tattoo spread across Alexei's back, I had se

  • Viktor Blacktop Bride    Viktor Episode

Aria POV A low noise I couldn’t place tore me from sleep even with Viktor beside me, I was a light sleeper, quick to wake from the slightest noise.I stared into the dark and there it was again, a throaty sound full of dark despair. What was that?A wave of fear shot through me when a familiar tone caught my attention.Viktor? Was that him?The sound stirred memories within me, but I pushed them aside and rolled over. In the dark, I couldn't make out more than the outline of his back, but the bed was shaking from the force of his body tremors.“viktor?” I whispered, but my voice was so hesitant and quiet I could barely hear it.My first instinct was that it had to be a seizure, something physical because it seemed impossible that emotions forced these sounds out of him. These throaty inhales are not moans or gasps, but something in between were full of emotion.I didn’t understand. Slowly, I sat up, unsure if I should wake him, completely at loss what to do because he was always in c

  • Viktor Blacktop Bride    I love you

Aria POVThe ride back home was very uncomfortable because Viktor refused to say a word to me but I kept glancing at him but his eyes were closed and his head was resting against the seat as if he were trying to shut out the world around him.I kept stealing glances at him.The cut above his cheekbone looked angry and swollen beneath the dim light filtering through the windows.Bruises were already beginning to bloom across his skin, reminders of the brutal fight he had just survived. At least the wound had stopped bleeding that should have reassured me.Instead, it only made me more anxious, something was definitely wrong because Viktor was different tonight. The man sitting beside me wasn't the calm, analytical Viktor I had come to know. The fight had awakened something inside him, which none of us fully understood. In the driver's seat, Alexei occasionally watched us through the rearview mirror. His expression remained unreadable, but the tension in his jaw betrayed his concern. He
