Camilla was lying on the bed, tucked against Cyrus's side. She was nude, so was he, his magnificent body damped with sweat.

He lay sprawled on his back, one thickly muscled arm arched over his head, while other curled beneath and around Camilla. His fingers running absently up and down the length of her torso.

They laid naked atop the sheets, his legs spread, his cock semi erect and curving up to his navel. It glistened under the dim light of the bedside lamps, wet from her and him.

Their breathing was beginning to slow. His heartbeat calmed beneath her ear. He smelled delicious, like sin and sex and Cyrus.

"I don't remember how we got here," Camilla murmured, her voice throaty and near hoarse.

Cyrus's chest rumbled with a laugh. Turning his head, he pressed his lips to her forehead.

Camilla had never seen him this satisfied or happy.

Who knew it only took, spreading her legs for him?

She curled tighter into him, her arm draping across his waist and holding on tight.

Camilla blinked, unsure she’d heard correctly. Her stomach twisted, the words sinking in slowly—less than a month. She stood rooted to the floor, her expression masked with horror. She couldn't believe her ears. Her mouth opened, then closed. She was Margaret Sterling. They have resources, power, access to the best doctors and everything at their fingertips. And yet—how could it… get to that point?”How's that even possible?“It was too late when I found out,” Margaret said, as if reading Camilla's thoughts. “I overlooked the symptoms because I was still in grief about the loss of my husband. The symptoms became severe a few months ago, I had to visit the hospital, and that was when I knew about it.” Camila's eyes stung, the sterile hospital room suddenly felt colder, the white walls pressing in around her. “Oh my god, I—I—I’m so sorry—” her voice trembled, and her throat burned as she blinked hard against the tears. She sat on the edge of the bed, unable to keep her hands from reac

When Camilla stepped into Margret's ward, she couldn't help but marvel at the luxurious furnishings. The Sterling had a way of flaunting their wealth, not too extravagant, but very elegant, that does nothing but screams ‘I’m a Sterling and we have money’The doctor didn't step in with her, only led her to the ward and left. After all, it was Margret's order to let only Camilla in.The heavy scent of medicine and antiseptic hit her nose, reminding her when she always visited the hospital for Katrina. An uneasy feeling made itself known in the pit of her belly, as her gaze fell on Margret, laid on the white bed.Unlike the exquisite and very polished woman she always saw, Margret was very pale, with dark circles under her eyes. A tracheostomy tube sat at the base of her throat, fitted with a speaking valve, enabling her to breathe — and speak, though her voice would be faint. The sight made Camilla’s pulse quicken.Only the steady beeping of the heart monitor gave her a kind of relief.

The weigh of Maureen's death and her misdeed had become subtle and a memory that could only be remembered.Cyrus had confirmed he suffered no severe symptoms from the poisoning, thanks to the minute doses Maureen had administered. When Camilla had taken the content of the poisoned tonic to the hospital to examine it, they found little particles of Opiate. A drug that disrupts mental health. The toxicologist noted that the substance resembled microdoses of a synthetic opiate used in psychiatric sedatives. Prolonged exposure could have triggered hallucinations, mental breakdown, or even memory loss.It was clear that whoever had put Maureen up to that, didn't want him dead, but to really go entirely Insane. But for what reason? And who could that be?Cyrus was very grateful to Camilla. One evening, when he came back from the office and found Camilla in the sitting room, he threw off his jacket and embraced her. Camilla was startled by his action, and asked him what the issue was, he smi

Jasmine Forbes thought she had escaped the clutches of handcuffs. When she saw Diaz being taken away by the cops, unknown to her, they were also coming for her. After all, she was a partner in the crime. Defamation against Sterling holdings, was something to be taken seriously.******The morning sun filtered through the gauzy curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. Camilla sat on the edge of the bed, watching Cyrus as he slept. His face, usually so composed, was now relaxed, almost boyish in slumber. She reached out, brushing a stray lock of hair from his forehead, her fingers lingering for a moment. She had noticed the change in his health over the past weeks. The tonic he took nightly was supposed to help with his recurring migraines and fatigue. Yet, instead of improving, his condition seemed to worsen. He was more irritable, his sleep restless, and his energy levels plummeted.Camilla's suspicions had been piqued a week ago when she had prepared the tonic herself. The liquid

Cyrus sat frozen, the silence in the room turning deafening. Camilla’s confession rang like a siren in his ears, every word carving a wound in his chest. The image of her fighting for her life—alone, bruised, terrified—tightened his chest. His gaze remained fixed on her, searching her face for any sign of the pain she had just relieved.Camilla's eyes, though steady, held a depth of sorrow that words could scarcely capture. Her posture was now upright, almost defiant, but her hands trembled slightly in her lap."You went through all that... and still stood tall," Cyrus finally whispered, his voice thick with emotion. He reached out, gently taking her hand in his, his thumb brushing over her knuckles. "You're incredible, Camilla."She offered a faint smile, the corners of her lips barely lifting. "I did what I had to do," she murmured.Cyrus leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead. "I'm so sorry," he said, his voice cracking. "I can't imagine the strength it took to endure th

**FLASH BACK CONT’D**When Camilla arrived outside the suite Louis had booked, his men were all positioned at the door. She gave them a curt nod and they opened the door for her to get in. Her body was tense as she stepped into the luxurious and elegantly furnished room. She was tense, not because she was afraid of Louis, but because she had a feeling something bad was going to happen.Louis sat across the bed, on a plush cushion chair, a glass of champagne In his left hand, a stick of cigarette on the right. His expression sparked with excitement the moment Camilla stepped in. “Beauty, you're here.” He smiled and placed his glass on the desk beside him.Camilla barely acknowledged him, as she placed the tray gently on the table — the silver knife’s reflection catching the light.”“Here's your order, sir. Enjoy your meal.” She said with feigned politeness. Just as she turned, about to leave, Louis grabbed her arm, twirling her to face him.“Not so fast, sweetheart.” Camilla shook o
