45. RECONCILATION

Kael's revelation made me release him and stagger back in shock.

My heart sank to the pit of my stomach and scattered a thousand pieces.

My breathing deepened and I did not know if I could catch up. I felt an wave of exhaustion hit me instantly and I lost all of my senses for a split second before it all started coming back to me, along with Kael's revelation.

I shook my head at Kael and he only stared at me with pain. I felt an ache in my heart and I sank to the floor. Tears threatened to spill as I tried to process what Kael had just revealed to me.

My wolf curled on itself as it tried to find the best place to hide so that it would not have to face the world.

Then I shot my head back at Kael. "Your story must be wrong somewhere. Every thing else makes sense except for the fact that my father is not a murder. He could have not killed your mom," I breathed.
