Chapter 6

Third person's point of view.

Daphne gasped when she saw her friend collapsed, she caught Arabella before she could hit the ground and knelt down -resting Arabella's head on her laps.

Everyone gathered around them, wondering why Arabella had fainted -Ingrid scoffed.

"Quit being dramatic" she said, which earned her a glare from Daphne and she cautiously took a step back.

The king called the man in army uniform over with a finger and whispered something in his ear, the army man stepped forward.

His eyes settled on Arabella's body in Daphne's arms, he cleared his throat and caught everyone's attention.

"Who's her friend?" He asked.

Everyone pointed at Daphne as she was checking her friend's pulse, she also nodded quickly and crawled forward with Arabella still in her arms.

"I'm her best friend, sir" she looked down at Arabella. "My friend doesn't seem to be breathing, can you do something to wake her up?" she asked politely.

"How dare you? Do you know your friend just insulted his Majesty?!" the army man growled.

Ingrid and her minions snorted quietly, stifling their laughter. The army man turned away from Daphne, to address the other girls.

"The King is done with you and he wants you to head back to your homes right away" he said.

Daphne made to get up, but the army man's words made her freeze on the spot.

"Everyone can leave except them" he pointed at Daphne and Arabella.

All the girls looked at Daphne and Arabella worriedly, they're worried about what's gonna happen to them after -everyone except Ingrid.

"Something's wrong, why are we all leaving except them?" she asked. "Or does his Majesty wants to use them as sêx slaves?" she added.

She and her minions burst into laughter which provoked the King and he banged on his table very loudly, he released a disapproving growl, making everyone flinch and they quickly bowed their heads.

He threw a death glare towards Ingrid's direction.

"Dungeon!" was all he growled -his voice as if it's doubled.

Two guards stepped forward immediately, Ingrid's minions jumped away from her quickly as if standing beside her was gonna get them involved in her mess.

The guards grabbed her arms and dragged her out, not giving her any chance to ask for forgiveness.

The king's eyes scanned the other girls, they all had their heads bowed and were shivering in fear -but they're all thinking the same thing in their minds -Ingrid is never coming out of that dungeon for the rest of her life.

He moved his eyes away from them and focused his gaze on Arabella.

"She's the one" he said, pointing at Arabella.

All the men in uniform (royal guards) quickly bowed before him, with happiness shining on their faces as they smiled in contentment.

"Congratulations on finding your mate, your majesty" they all congratulated him.

Daphne's mouth fell open as she stared at her friend in shock, she shook her head slowly in denial.

'Ara's not gonna like this, she's not gonna like it, she never wanted this' she chanted mentally.

The other girls were also as shocked as Daphne, though, some were happy they aren't the ones mated to the beast King and others were genuinely worried about Arabella -they passed Daphne sympathizing looks.

"The guards will guide the rest of you pass the wizardry forest, you can find your way back to your respective homes" the army man said.

Immediately he said that, the guards carried out the order without waiting another second -the crowded hall became empty within a minute.

Now it's just the King, the army man, a few guards and Daphne who's still holding onto Arabella's body.

"Your majesty, what should we do with the queen?" the army man asked nodding towards Arabella.

The king stared at Arabella for a moment, he got up and walked towards Daphne.

Daphne's arms started shaking when he saw the King walking towards them, she knew he's not going to hurt them since Arabella is his mate, but she couldn't help the fear that was eating her up.

"Move" the King said.

Daphne nodded, she laid Arabella on the floor and quickly moved aside. The King bent down and swooped Arabella in his arms, his brows furrowed in a tight knit as he stared at her face.

"Your majesty, she's...."

He turned his gaze towards Daphne and she shut up immediately, she looked away from his burning gaze.

"Come with me" he told her.

He straightened up and headed towards the exit of the hall.

Arabella's point of view

I looked around with a very frown, as I'm confused at how I'm suddenly back in that familiar woods again and he's standing a few feet away from me.

Wasn't I just in the palace? What am I doing here? Why did he called me here again?

"You're here" he said.

I took two steps closer to him, as usual he's backing me.

"Hey" I called him. "Why did you called me here?" I asked.

He didn't reply instantly, but after a short moment he sighed.

"I thought you wanted to see my face, correct?"

I nodded but remembered he's backing me and won't see my expression.

"Yes" I answered.

"Then why are you running after seeing my face? Is my face too ugly? Did it frightened you?" he asked.

"Huh?"

What on earth is he talking about? When did I see his face? Arthur interrupted my dream the only time I had a chance to see his face.

"I haven't seen your face yet" I told him.

He chuckled lightly.

"You've seen my face twice" he said.

"I've seen your face twice?"

"Hm" he hummed.

This is the longest conversation we've had since I've known him in my dreams, he'd usually talk to me in two words or three words.

Ugh, who's this mysterious madman for Pete sake?

"May I know when and where I've seen your face?" I asked.

He didn't answer my question, we just stood in silence for a while and he suddenly turned at once -my jaw dropped.

I pointed a finger at him speechlessly, my eyes were widened in great shock and I could only blurt out two words.

"My darling" I whispered, staggering back slightly.

"Did my appearance disappoint you?" he asked.

Is this a joke? Or is my mind playing tricks on me right now?
