There was a mesmerising feeling that flushed through me watching Ava pat and play with Zeus who humped her legs lovingly.
There was a friendly smile on her face, her hazel fixed on Zeus as she scratched the back of his ears before turning to me. A small gasp escaped my lips from the intensity of her hazel eyes that shone under the bright chandelier.
"Why did you name him Zeus? Got a passion for Greek mythology?" Ava asked, staring curiously at me.
