Diana’s POV

“Are they here yet?” I asked Leah as we walked into the gigantic building that was Orchid lounge.

Typing on her phone, Leah nodded, “I think so. I just sent Lewis a message but he's not on-”

“Over here, girls,” A voice came from the front, and I steered my attention in its direction.

Sitting in the middle of the half-filled lounge were two guys who seemed to be around mine and Leah's age.

“They are here,” Leah said, before waving at them with a smile, “Let's go.”

As we moved closer to them, I got a better view of their faces and realized that they both looked familiar, although I honestly didn't know their names.

I could remember seeing them in class though.

“Hi, girls,” The one with long black hair said, as Leah and I sat on the seats opposite theirs, “I hope you didn't have a hard time finding this place.”

“No, it was just a ten minute cab ride,” I replied, as a waitress walked up to us.

“So, ” The one with a buzz cut replied, outstretching his hand to me, “I'm Raymond, Leah told us everything.”

Repressing the urge to glare at my best friend, I smiled and shook his hand, “I'm sorry. I don't exactly socialize, so…”

“It's fine, me too,” He replied, his hold on my hand lasting a bit too long, “Although I know the people I like.”

Feigning a smile, I withdrew my hand from his hold, my teeth clenched together, so I wouldn't cringe at his corny words.

Was this his attempt at flirting?

Gosh, it was horrible.

“I'm Lewis. It's nice meeting you again,” The second guy replied, offering me a handshake, which I took with a polite smile.

“Same here,” I replied.

I just knew Benjamin would never utter such atrocity to me in the name of being flirtatious.

Benjamin truly lived in my mind rent-free.

I still couldn't get over the indecipherable look he'd given me earlier.

The fact that I couldn't just walk up to him to ask him what he meant by that look was even more aggravating.

I would probably bite my tongue a thousand times before getting the question out, especially as I always shook like a leaf in autumn whenever I was in his presence.

How dare she be mad at me for calling her cheating self out?

Some poor man had really married a skank like her, thinking he'd found a loving wife.

Just then, a horrible thought struck me.

What if Kylie was currently at home with Benjamin?

Given how shameless and desperate she was, I wouldn't exactly put it past her.

Since Leah and I weren't out, it would probably be easier for her to get her mission done.

Especially since it was highly likely that Benjamin was also into her.

What if they were currently making out, or worse, fucking, at the moment?

Merely picturing her in bed with Benjamin had me bunching my hands into furious fists to calm the storm of rageful jealousy swirling through me.

Soon, our drinks were placed on the table af without thinking, I grabbed mine and took a huge gulp of my long island tea.

I had defied Benjamin’s instruction and had also managed to convince Leah to do the same, and so she’d ordered a margarita while the guys opted for pina colada.

How rich of Benjamin to act like he had morals while he lusted after a married whore.

“Wow,” I said, as I felt a zesty burn travel down my throat, leaving a somewhat caramel aftertaste.

I loved it.

“Yeah?” Leah uttered, “You like it?”

Nodding, I poured a copious amount down my throat, loving the tangy kick of the alcohol even more.

This was exactly what I'd been longing for.

Something new to divert my interest from that enigmatic being called Benjamin.

And long island tea was doing a pristine job of that.

“It tastes so freaking good,” I yelled, above the loud music that was now booming out of the lounge speakers.

“Doesn't it?” Leah grinned, “Would you like to try mine?”

As I nodded, my vision doubled, causing me to see everything, everyone, and even my own hands in twos.

It seemed alcohol gave people some sort of super vision.

Giggling, I placed my hands on the table, “Leah, I can see two of everything.”

Contrary to the glee I'd thought Leah would exhibit at my discovery, she seemed horrified.

“You're drunk,” She muttered, “We need to get you home right now.”

Before I could respond, she placed her drink on the table and stood up.

“We will hangout some other time,” She told Lewis and Ray, “I need to take her home before she gets even worse.”

“Don’t worry, we understand. Should we escort you?” I heard Lewis ask as I stared at my fingers in awe.

“No, it's fine. We will manage,” Leah replied, then helped me out of my chair, ignoring my disgruntled huff.

I tried to move out of her grip but when I realized I could barely stand on my own feet, I remained in her grip as we headed to the bus stop.

“Hopefully, dad won't freak out when he sees you,” Leah said, when we were settled in a cab, “What was I thinking? I should have just listened to him.”

To my drunken shock, as we trekked through the gates after a while, Benjamin and Kylie stepped out to the veranda, a smile curving the whore's lips, which nearly drove me mad with anger.

It seemed my imagination had somehow become reality.

Kylie and Benjamin had really slept together in our absence.

So much for acting like a man of principles, only for him to fuck a bitchy adulteress.

“Looks like someone is drunk,” Kylie singsonged, and I knew seeing me like that gave her immense joy.

“Mind your own business!” I retorted hotly.

Chuckling, she shook her head then turned to Benjamin, “I'll see you whenever, Ben. Goodnight, everyone.”

And with that, she took her leave.

Vitriolic ire simmered within me as Benjamin came up to us and regarded me.

“I thought I told you two not to drink,” He began, his gaze strict, and even though I was pissed at him, it made me wet.

“Dad, I can explain,” Leah began, and Benjamin shot her an even sterner stare.

That did it.

Prying myself out of Leah's hold, I staggered toward Benjamin, and when I almost fell over my feet, he steadied me by holding my arm.

Him touching me made me burn with a wild mix of arousal and anger.

“Get her a glass of water,” He ordered Leah and she nodded before taking her leave.

Without thinking, I cupped his face, my heart beating in an ecstatic rhythm, “Why are you mad? We didn't do anything wrong, did we? So we drank alcohol, it's not tantamount to committing a sin... Is it?”

Only then did I notice how close we were as well as the birthmark below his tempting set of full lips.

I had never seen him this up close before, and seeing his features like this somehow made him even more handsome.

Suddenly, I had an irresistible urge to know what they tasted like.

Looking into Benjamin’s alluring blue eyes, I felt tawdry hunger in my core, urging me to press my lips against his.

Ignoring the logical voice in my head warning me against kissing him, I brought my face closer to his, while he remained there, unmoving.

“Diana!” Leah’s shriek instantly forced me away from Benjamin.

Her face was mauled with shock as she regarded me.

Fuck.

Diana’s POV When Benjamin stepped away from the kiss, I was so blissfully dizzy that I'd have fallen to the ground if I wasn't trapped in the strong barricade of his arms.“I see your little boyfriend came over in my absence,” He uttered, then leaned in to kiss my chest, causing me to let out a throaty exhale. Was I right about Benjamin being jealous about seeing Raymond and I together then?Hope laced with erotic hunger caressed me from within at the mere thought, as I let him ravish the sensitive skin of my chest.“R-Raymond is not my boyfriend,” I whispered, “Are you jealous?”He stopped his wanton ministration to stare at me intently, and my heart thudded with uncertainty.Had I perhaps said the wrong thing?Suddenly, he burst into a peal of hearty laughter while I watched him awkwardly, feeling shame tinge me.Was my question so absurd that he had to laugh in my face at such a heated moment? In the next minute, his eyes were clouded with wild passion, which sent a stream of deli

Diana’s POV “Ignore him, he'll be fine,” Violet uttered, as Benjamin stormed upstairs, “The four of you should keep your mind at rest, okay?”“Okay, ma'am,” The guys said, and Leah huffed while I nodded, feigning a smile as my heart thumped with uncertainty.Only the heavens knew what had gotten Benjamin so mad, I thought as Violet walked upstairs.“Dad is so overprotective. I don't know how he expects me to date when he glares at any guy he sees in the same vicinity as me,” Leah huffed, before sitting beside Lewis, “So what game are we playing now?”To think for a split second, I'd deluded myself into thinking Benjamin was annoyed because he'd seen Raymond and I together. How utterly silly of me.An hour after Benjamin and Violet left for their dinner date, I'd been shocked by the appearance of Raymond and Lewis.Especially Raymond, since I'd been airing the messages he sent me on Instagram, for the past couple of days.I had followed him back on the app to get Leah off my case, but

Benjamin’s POV “After you,” I gestured forward to Violet, as the automatic glass doors of the Italian restaurant slid open.“Forever the gentleman,” She smiled, walking inside, “Where do you want to sit? The whole place is empty.”Looking at the gargantuan dimly-lit interior of the exquisite restaurant, I shrugged, “Anywhere is fine by me.”“I want to sit by the window,” She said, to which I nodded before we walked to the window chairs.Dragging out her chair, I motioned her to sit and she smiled, nodding before taking her seat.Thereafter, I sat on the other chair, just as a waiter walked up to us.“Hi,” The formally dressed man greeted, “Would you like a physical menu or do you prefer scanning it online?”“Online is fine,” I replied, looking at Violet who nodded in acquiescence.Opening my phone's camera, I scanned the qr code on the table, and it took me to their menu website.“I will have mutton stew with rice and a bottle of pinot noir, thank you.” I said, before handing Violet

Do you want some?”“Diana?” Leah called, suddenly serious, which confused me, as I couldn't help but wonder what mischievous antic my best friend was up to now.“Yes?”“If the day comes that I refuse to eat your fruit parfait.
