Isla’s POV

I trembled, with no words left in my mouth, my grandfather looked annoyed, very annoyed like he was going to hit me if I didn’t talk, but there was nothing I could do. I had to keep quiet.

“Fine! So you’re not going to talk.” Gran—Gran pointed out. “I’ll have to call Dario then.”

I watched as my grandfather removed his phone from his pocket, then he adjusted the device in his hands. My heart thumped wildly as I stared at him.

“Dario!” He said with a firm voice. I closed my eyes as I knew the words that would spill out next. My eyes which were closed shot open, the moment I heard my grandfather speak up again.

“I need you back at your mansion now!” With that being said, he ended the call. I was shocked by his words. I expected him to hit the nail on the head, and tell Dario right away that I was pregnant but I guessed he was waiting for Dario to arrive before he broke the news.
