When a book is being serialized, does it mean posting updated chapters in reading apps will stop and we just have to wait for a published, complete book that we need to buy?

Wonderful story loved reading. Hopefully they continue the story because I want to know what happens. Only thing I could say needs improvement is Consistency and details
