Why are you disturbing the balance of nature?

“I am not going to ALASKA! THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL I AM GOING BACK TO ALASKA! please you try to understand, THIS IS WHERE THEY LIVE” I shouted angrily.

Never! Not even in a million years, I am going to my own personal hell ever again! My dead body will go there only!

Three hours later,

“Four tickets booked for Ketchikan, Alaska” I said keeping my phone on the table after booking the tickets for the hell online.

I can’t believe I really did that.

Bravo! With my own hands, I booked the flight for my own death!

So, what happened is my mother and father literally emotionally blackmailed me as to how my mother’s side of the family is in danger.

I don’t know why should I care for them when they never cared for us? I am 23 years old, my brother is 25 and we have never seen them yet. They didn’t care about us. So why should we?

But yet, they are my mother’s family. I had to make this difficult decision! No matter how much I hate it. It’s about family.

Before two hours,

I mean we are moving to Alaska and we are going to meet our mom’s side of the family. Ketchikan isn’t the only place in the whole Alaska, right?

“So, where does your family lives mother and where are we staying, again?” I asked curiously while bringing my cell phone to book the tickets.

‘Why do always I have to book tickets? Why this good boy never does any work?’ I thought glaring at my good-for-nothing brother.

“Um. For the time being, we will be staying at your Grandpa’s house” said Father with a small smile.

“Oh, Okahere y, and where does this Grandpa live exactly?” I asked excitedly.

I can live in peace in any place in this entire world if it’s not Ketchikan.

“Ketchikan city” my father replied nervously and all the excitement said their farewell to my face.

My jaw dropped to the floor once my father said those two unholy words.

“What my maternal Grandpa also lives in Ketchikan City and we never got to see them? You always lied to us??” I asked in astonishment standing up from my seat.

Even Mark had the same expressions on his face.

“You were lying to us all these years?” asked my drama queen of brother in disappointment.

“Well, he doesn’t stay in the city.. hehe.. Honestly. He lives.. um.. nearby. But we are staying with my family for the time being” said Father with the most innocent look on his face and those words were like daggers through my heart.

Blood drained from my beautiful face after my father’s another lethal attack.

“Why? Why do you always have to do this with me? Do you know how much those people hate me?” I asked disheartened. My eyes were almost moist.

“Am I not your daughter? Am I adopted?” I asked questioning my own existence at this point.

“Of course, you are my lovely daughter and nobody hates you, my love. They can’t hate you. They just.. umm… kind of.. in a misunderstanding” said Father with a small chuckle which didn’t lighten up my mood at all.

I was not ready to listen to that ‘They don’t hate you’ sh*tty lecture again’. I have suffered every single time when I was there. Yet, they are trying to make it sound like nothing.

“I am not following. They simply hate me or you can put it as ‘dislike’ me, if you want it to sound less harsh. I don’t want to go back to that dungeon” I replied in an angry tone.

“I want them to change this mentality about you. You are much more than that. They should know it by now” said my father insistently while keeping his hands on my shoulders.

Are you kidding me? Everyone knows how much they hate me and how much I hate them! IT’S A BEAUTIFUL SYMMETRY! I don’t understand why my parents want to change something that was so wonderfully arranged by the universe itself!

“I don’t want them to know that. They don’t like me and I don’t like them. What is your problem? Why are you disturbing the balance of nature? Who are you to go against the laws made by nature?” I asked glaring at him angrily.

But at this point, my brother can’t hold it back anymore and burst into another fit of laughter.

“I agree. They really do hate her” said Mark honestly but he doesn’t sound like he was on my side though and not to forget that slight smile on his annoying face.

“I don’t get it. They hate Mother and they hate me but they have no problem with you and Mark whatsoever. I don’t want to be with people who judge me for God knows what?” I said while throwing my hands in the air in frustration.

“You know, Rose dear. We are doing this for your mother. Don’t you love your mother?” asked my father in a small painful voice.

There we go again with the emotional blackmailing! How am I supposed to say something negative without making it sound negative? It’s a clear win for him! Wise choice of words!

“I know and I do love her. but…but…” I looked at my mother who was looking at me with pleading eyes.

A strong woman like my mother was holding tears, I know I can’t win this fight anymore. So, I eventually gave in.

Taking a deep sigh, I looked down and replied,

“Fine, I will bear them for the time being”

I did not wait for their answer and grabbed my cell phone.

“Four tickets booked for Ketchikan, Alaska”
