The casting of ballots was a system of voting that was only used once through the reign of an alpha king. This was an exclusive right the members of the council could exercise at any point in time. However, they had that right to be used just once. No one could say how or when the rule came into place but it was a common thing to note that the system had been used for years of the existence of the pack. It was a way of bringing down the alpha that was in power. In a situation where the members of the council seem to feel too displeased with the reigning alpha and we're unable to bring him to their feet, the strategy was always employed. In fact, it had been used to tear down the reign of a good number of alpha kings as can be accounted for by the records . Ruckus paced to and fro in his room with so many thoughts running straight through his head. In fact, if he were to be asked, he would say he could feel the entire body system thinking alongside his head. His head was purely on fire. The thought of whether the plan would go as he had planned was troubling him. That was the idea of Badmus. Hours had passed already. And it was already night. But Sophia was yet to open her eyes. The healer was just there. Since the earlier hours of the day when Sophia muttered her name, she had not left the room except the moment she cleaned her body for the second time.
