I wake up back in Gunner’s bed, but I’m still wrapped in Dean’s arms, but also Gunner’s now. Where’s Issac?

I move slightly, not at all sure what I should do at this moment. Both of their holds on me tighten.

The door opens, but my back is to it. Assuming it’s Issac, I sit up in the bed, untangling myself, to look at him.

My eyes widen when I see a tall older man with brown hair speckled with grey, and hazel eyes staring at me. The longer I look at him, the more I realize who he is.

Gunner and Dean jumping up saying “Dad?” Helped too. The triplet’s father, Alpha William Andrews. In Gunner’s room, staring at me like he’s in shock.

I think I’ve met him before, it would have been a long time ago, but from the look on his face, he remembers. “I knew you boys were acting strange yesterday. Now, I see why.” William says and all I want to do is throw myself back under the blanket.

“Dad, we can explain.” Dean says, as him and Gunner effectively block their dad’s view of me. “We’ll talk in the

Issac pulls me off of Dean’s lap and places me on his, wrapping his arms around my waist loosely. He looks at me, “Okay, Sunshine. What do you want us to call you now?” I shrug. “I’m Grace. As far as I’m concerned Xena doesn’t exist anymore. He nods accepting my answer, “Okay, Grace. What do you say we go get some dinner? You’ve been locked up in this room all day and you didn’t even eat your breakfast.” He says and I smile, nodding my answer to him.Issac carries me down to the suv and we get in, Issac sitting next to me in the back seat. Dean driving and Gunner in the passenger seat.Once we get to the diner, and order, we’re all just sort of staring at each other. “Are you guys sure you’re okay with all of this. I know it’s a lot.”They don’t answer and instead Gunner asks me a question, “What can you tell me about your brother?” My eyes widen when he asks about Alec, “What? Why?” What do they want to know about him?“Because I’m wondering why your brother cornered me, telling me t

Finally, we’re allowed to come back to the living room. Xena’s eyes are red, from tears and Gunner goes straight to her, pulling her in his arms. I glare at my father, and he has the nerve to laugh. “Alright boys, you guys need to talk.” He looks straight into my eyes, “I don’t care if you forgive her for lying or not. She’s your responsibility now, keep her safe. Keep her hidden.” He says then walks out of the cabin. My eyes land on Xena, she smiles and waves after my dad. The tears clearly weren’t caused by him, maybe just whatever they talked about. My dad telling us to keep her safe is mute, we have no intentions of doing otherwise, even with us not being thrilled to know what she’s been hiding. She sighs, pulling out of Gunner’s arms. She walks over to the recliner and sits down, looking at us. We all just stand there watching her. She smiles, “Might as well get this conversation started. You all deserve to know more.” She says and we all walk over and sit down.I stare at her be

Once everyone leaves the room except for me and William, he sits back in his chair and stares at me. “I’ve heard of things happening in your pack. Things the Alpha allows others in his pack to get away with.” He says, watching my every move.I gather all the confidence I can. If I want to stay away from Heath, I’m going to have to be as honest as I can with him. “I don’t know sir. I only left my house for school and the occasional social gathering that Heath thought I was needed for. The working of the pack or what goes on there, is never something I was made privy to.”He nods his head listening, “And that was because your father abused you? I’m not saying I condone his actions, but was there a reason?”I look him straight in the eyes, “He said I was bad. If I took my brother's toy, a boy liked me at school, or I was late coming home. If I didn’t follow his rules, I deserved to be punished.” William stares at me for a long time.“Stole your brother’s toy? How old were you when this s

“Are they gone?” I ask Gunner, knowing they have to know what’s going on now. Especially if they’re here with Sarah. At the moment, seeing them, I didn’t care if they were mad. I just needed Gunner to ground me to the here and now, like he always seems to be able to do.I also know if he knows Alpha Heath was the person he wanted to kill for me, today wasn’t easy for him, any of them, but especially Gunner. I know even if he hates me right now for lying, he still needs this moment as much as I do.Gunner’s arms tighten around me, “They’re gone, Peaches.” I let out a breath of relief when I hear my nickname leave him mouth. Granted, he might still be mad and just not sure what to call me anymore.I peel my chest from his, looking at him, still seated comfortably in his arms. His yellow eyes pierce through me, “We have a lot to talk about, Peaches.” I close my eyes but rest my head back on his shoulder. “I know.” I say softly.I feel Issac’s hand on my back, he rubs from the length of m

I can’t think straight, with the visions of what I want to do to Heath and Alec replaying through my head. Each thought worse than the one before. The things they’ve done to my mate won’t come close to the pain I’m going to inflict on them.I know I can’t, right now. I know that if I start something that might make them believe even more that she’s here. I won’t do that to her. She can stay safe and hidden for now, but the second these fuckers leave I need her in my arms. This is what she wanted to tell us; I know it is. And if she would have just told us when she tried, we could have stopped him from ever coming here. But we’re here now.Standing in front of the dining hall, all moody as hell as my dad walks up to us. “Boys. It’s good to see you.” He smiles and hugs all of us, we give him half hugs in return. Just an hour ago I was excited to see him, but now I wish they’d all leave.Alpha Heath and Alec have already started searching the grounds, while we stand here hoping they don’

This thing with Grace is driving all three of us insane. We finally get somewhere with her, just for her to say there’s this big secret that she needs to tell us in order to be together. Then, hides from talking to us left and right. What could be so huge, that we’d look at her differently? I know we don’t know most of what happened in her past, but we know what happened to her, just not details. What else though? That seemed to be the big thing she was hiding, but now there’s more. Ugh!We make our way to the dining hall, hoping like hell Grace will actually talk to us today. When Sarah meets us half-way on the walk. I know she can tell by our moods we don’t really want to talk right now. So, surprisingly she stays quiet. When we near the dining hall, we see a lot of commotion. Ugh, I almost forgot. I look at my brothers and they both have on expressionless faces, but I know they’re not happy about this.“Who’s that?” Sarah asks, glancing between the three of us nervously. “Alpha Hea

We worked through dinner, not having a moment to sit down. I’m exhausted, but I’m actually pretty excited to help Gia pick out a dress. She may have been lying about me telling her I’d help her, but she wasn’t lying about her designer coming.Cole walks me to my cabin after we finally finish, “What’s that smell? Oh, I’m staying.” I look at Cole confused, because I don’t smell anything. When we walk into the cabin, I see what he’s talking about. The coffee table is littered with different foods and drinks. I smile, “What’s all this?” I ask, taking a fry from one of the containers, as Cole makes himself at home on the couch next to Olivia. The living room is all rearranged, with the couch and the chairs pushed against the walls. Making room for Gia’s fashion show.Olivia rolls her eyes, “What do you think it is? You didn’t eat.” My eyes widen, “The triplets?” Her lips purse and she nods, as Cole’s grin widens. “Works for me! Maybe you shouldn’t eat more often. I love this restaurant!”

The teacher was super impressed by our answers and how we had made a decision for every possibility. Even things that weren’t on our battle plan.I was so excited when I left history, I didn’t even think about last night, until I sat down on the piano bench. I started thinking about my first kiss, how intense, how perfect it was. Regardless, of how the night ended and even if they never forgive me. I’ll still have that moment, where everything was perfect.I place my hands on the keys and start playing a few keys from muscle memory of last night. And that’s what I keep doing the whole block, letting the music speak to me, just like Gunner made it do.“Someone’s been practicing.” I hear Mrs. Harmony’s voice come from behind me and I turn around smiling. “Does it really sound better?” I ask and her smile broadens, and she nods her head, chuckling. “Much, Dear. I think you should definitely keep doing whatever you’re doing.” I nearly laugh, because what I was doing in here probably shoul
