Ch. 31 Jesse
Jesse's P.O.V.
"How about we go get some lunch?" Ares asked me, breaking the silence again.
"I don't know that I want to be out in public right now." I sighed.
"I'll keep you safe. I know what's going on now. I'm going to start keeping my visions open. I'll make sure to help you avoid him from now on." He promised, making me feel secure.
"Thanks Arie. I knew I could count on you." I smiled, staring at the grass ahead.

Augustus' P.O.V. "Where is he?" I asked Ares, looking for Damon. "He'll be sitting at the table beside us. Don't let him rile you up. Just eat your food and ignore him. Jesse's P.O.V.A knock on the door had me pulling my tube top up faster than intended. I changed out of that uniform the moment my last class ended. It's the fu.cking weekend now. Ares’ P.O.V.I tried to read Jesse’s lips, but she turned her back on me so I couldn’t see what she was telling the girls. I was surprised she had agreed. Nova's P.O.V.I invited Manny to come with us when we decided to make it a group thing. He texted that he was already out, to my surprise. I honestly worried that I was his only friend. Augustus' P.O.V. "Help find Jesse. Damon's here somewhere." I got Ares' shadow message, making my blood run cold. I was already pissed at Nova for grinding against my brother like that after just kissing me yesterday. What is her problem? Is it him that she has been wanting, and I was just some consolation prize? I pushed those thoughts aside, scanning the dance floor for those stupid silver streaks of that as/shole. I tried finding her shadow, but it was still closed off. I know she does it to keep away from Damon. I looked for Damon's shadow door next, but he closed it off too. He had to be with her.
