Ares’ P.O.V.
I tried to read Jesse’s lips, but she turned her back on me so I couldn’t see what she was telling the girls. I was surprised she had agreed. Augustus was pacing before us, biting at the side of his thumb like mom does when she’s anxious. Gabriel was now sandwiched between Liam and I. The bench was too small for two werewolves and a seer. My ass was barely hanging on to my seat.
“He did what?!” Nova yelled, sounding the angriest I had ever heard her.
The two kindest werewolves I know both growled beside me. They had heard what Jesse had told the girls. Liam looked outright furious. Gabriel’s eyebrows furrowed in contemplation. He was clearly upset as well.

Augustus' P.O.V. "Help find Jesse. Damon's here somewhere." I got Ares' shadow message, making my blood run cold. I was already pissed at Nova for grinding against my brother like that after just kissing me yesterday. What is her problem? Jesse's P.O.V.*Trigger Warning*"I'm going to the restroom. Wait for me here?" Liam whispered into my ear. I nodded, smiling like the love sick teen I am. I tried to fight it back, but I couldn't. Augustus’ P.O.V. I traveled to my room without a word the moment I saw the sun shine through the window. I had a damn pain in my back from trying to sleep beside broad shoulder Ares. That bed was too small, and I really should have just slept on the floor. Still, I woke up with a smile, because I hadn’t felt this close to my family in a while. I think mom is doing better now that she isn’t trying to decipher messages in the sky. She was turning into a mad woman, training us hard, scared of losing us. I think having us in this academy has shown her that we are okay without her.
