Shemika's POV"Yeah, a very close one." Synn added, almost laughing.Synn turned around and grabbed a glass of wine from one of the waitresses that had been walking around.While she was busy drinking, I noticed Lexi wasn't just dancing. Her moves were perfect-too perfect, but her eyes kept flickering towards the exit door like she was waiting on something, like she was expecting someone or a signal.I looked towards the exit door too, to see if I would catch a glimpse of whatever she was monitoring but I didn't see anything.I wanted to call Synn's attention to it but I stopped myself because I wasn't sure yet.When Lexi's dance ended, she didn't hang around backstage like usual. No smiling, no laughing, no fake flirting with the clients around. She slipped off stage and walked quickly toward one of the side hallways, just by the exit door where she has been staring at lately."There she goes," I immediately grabbed Synn and she didn't hesitate before dropping the glass in her hand.
