I was forced to wake up from the feel of Lucas kissing my cheek and neck. I couldn't help but smile and roll onto my back. My smile dropped when I saw that he was dressed, reminding me that he had a race tonight.

There were nights when I would get scared because, after my first experience with him, I knew his racing wasn't safe. Anything could happen but I saw how he loved the sport and it was hard for me to tell him to stop.

"I'm heading out," he said and got out of bed.

"Okay," I replied and followed suit. I followed him out of the room and then wrapped my arms around his torso when he faced me. "Drive safe, please. Try not to get yourself killed."

His chest rumbled as he chuckled then he wrapped his arms around my waist. I felt the warmth of his hug and sighed, feeling sad about him leaving. I wanted to snuggle up in bed all night with him.

"I will, baby," he said and kissed the crown of my head. "Now, let go. I'm going to be late. The guys are waiting for me downstairs."
