We went touring around, finding delight in the beauty of the city. We had left our hotel at midday and had our tour guide walk us around the place, taking in the magnificent buildings centuries old. The chatter in public was enough to make me feel welcome and relaxed, almost as if I was used to the place.I lifted my camera and took a picture of a statue in front of a tall building crowded with people while the tour guide spoke to Lucas behind me. As I dropped the camera, I felt one of the phones vibrating in my purse. I had Lucas' phone with me and we left our phones on vibrate. So, not knowing whose phone was ringing, I unzipped my purse and checked them.Lucas had told me to ignore whenever his phone rang as he wanted to have time for me. All I did was tilt my head to see who it was and I raised an eyebrow when I saw a call from someone named Cindy. I furrowed my eyebrows, trying to remember if I know the person but I came up with nothing. The only people I knew were Axel, Barry, Andrea, and our neighbors from across our house. I shrugged and zipped up my purse then joined them. My stomach growled and I blushed when they turned to look at me. "Sorry, I'm hungry," I said and I looked over the tour guide's shoulder when I saw a food booth with a few people standing in front of it. My mouth watered at the steam I could see coming from the booth and I pointed at it."What is it?" Lucas asked.
"What are they selling there?" I asked the older man and he smiled.
"Ah, that is one of our special street food. Croquetas is a delicious snack you should try. It's like a bun filled with delicious goodness. Would you like to try some?" The man asked and I grinned."Yes, please," I replied and we motioned for me to step forward.I chuckled and quickly made my way to the food vendor. When we got to it, I waited for the crowd to disperse before stepping close to the lady behind the counter of the wooden shack. She smiled at us and I waved.
"Hola señora," I said. I learned Spanish in school, so I had no issues interacting with anyone.Lucas had been surprised when I told him I spoke three languages; Spanish, Thai, and French. I learned them throughout my stay in Redside because I had a thing for learning languages outside English.
"¿Hola, Como Puedo ayudarte?" The lady asked in a soft voice. (Hello, how may I help you?).I smiled and looked at the guide and Lucas who was still stunned each time I spoke Spanish. There was something in his eyes that I was familiar with. I shook my head subtly and faced the woman."Yo estaba allí Cuando vi tu choza. Quiero tener algunas de sus croquetas, por favor," I said, pointing at the stack of snacks behind her. (I was over there when I saw your shack. I want to have some of your Croquetas, please)."Okay," the woman said and turned away. I smiled and turned my body around to face Lucas who had his tongue pushed up behind his upper teeth while he looked me up and down. So seductively that I glanced away. He was doing too much, knowing we were in public.I tensed up when he came closer and I quickly turned around, facing the vendor. I pursed my lips when I felt his hard chest against my back and his hands on my hips. I swallowed when he brushed his lips against my ear.
"Have I told you that you turn me on when I hear you speak Spanish? With your accent and all," he whispered and bit my ear softly.I wanted to push him back, embarrassed at the way he was publicly showing affection. When he came closer to me, I felt his hardened length on my lower back and I moved forward the moment the woman turned back around with two basket-like plates that had three of the round snack. She handed them to me and I gave the guide the other. I took the third one she was offering and handed it to Lucas."Muchas gracias," I said and made a move to open my purse to pay but Lucas beat me to it by giving her the money.
"Keep the change," he said and we moved aside.
"I could have paid, you know," I said and pouted. "Sure," he said and picked up one of the golden brown snacks between his fingers. My mouth watered at the delicious smell and I picked one up. It was soft between my fingers and a crumb-like feeling dusted my fingers. I bit into it and moaned at the flavor of the soft snack. I chewed and got a familiar taste of cheese and ham. I bit more out of it and chewed, loving the slightly spicy taste on my tongue.
"This is delicious," I said to the guide when he came close, eating his too."It is my favorite," he said and I nodded.I dusted my fingers by brushing them together away from the plate and stared at the snacks. I suddenly felt the urge to try something with it but I wasn't sure if it would make sense. I had a feeling it was just me and my pregnancy cravings yet again."What is it?" Lucas asked and rubbed the side of my mouth, most likely to clean it.
"Uh, do you think she has cucumber?" I asked both of them and looked at the woman who was now serving new customers.
"Why?"
"I want to sandwich cucumber slices between this and eat. It'll taste great. No offense, Javier," I said to the man who shook his head."It's your pregnancy cravings again, right?" He asked and I nodded. "The last time this happened, you wanted a bowl of popcorn mixed with slices of mangoes in the middle of the night."I pouted. "It's your son who's making me eat weird things. Deal with it."Lucas sighed. "Fine. Why don't we but take outs and I'll buy you enough cucumbers to eat with it?"
I smiled. "Awesome."
Lucas smiled through the stress of my request and Javier chuckled. Lucas stepped away and made his way to the vendor. My purse vibrated again and I unzipped it. I took out Lucas' phone when I saw it was his ringing again.
"Cindy," I whispered at the name on the screen. "Why does she keep calling? Maybe it's his racing buddies or something."
I shrugged and put the phone back into the purse after locking the screen, then I went back to my snack.Matured Scene: Steamy.|||I put the butt of my pencil into my mouth and stared at the drawn plan of an engine on the plane white paper spread out on the wide table. I tilted my head to the side, feeling as if there was an error on the diagram. I took out the pencil from my mouth and drummed it against my temple.Through the stress I went through all because of a jealous witch, I had not been able to get an assignment I was supposed to have done which was part of my exam, done. Now, school had resumed for the quarter of this year and I was struggling. As I lowered my pencil to correct a labelling, I felt something warm on my shoulder and I screamed, jumping away from the table while turning around. I hissed in annoyance when Lucas burst out laughing. I glared at him as he laughed more."You scared me," I said and he mellowed down."Aw. Sorry, babe," Lucas said and came closer to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead."I was so concentrated on my homework, you
|||The cool breeze blowing around the beach soothed my skin from the rays of the sun outside of the umbrella I was laying under. I kept my eyes on the people moving back and forth in the water upfront. I smiled when I felt Lucas wrap his arm around my bare waist. He placed his hand on my bump and leaned down to kiss it before sitting up. He kissed my shoulder and I smiled wider."Your skin is hot. Do you want something cold to drink or eat?" He asked against my shoulder and I turned my head to stare at him."Yes, please. Maybe ice cream," I replied and he pecked my lips before standing on his feet. He tugged his shorts down a little and walked away.As soon as he left my vicinity, his phone rang behind me. I turned around and grabbed it then turned it over. I furrowed my eyebrows at the caller— Cindy. It was confusing why she kept calling this way. "Why does she keep calling constantly? Does this have anything to do with his work?" I asked and dropped the phone. I didn't want to an
|||I quickly moved forward and almost fell to the concrete ground but I steadied myself and spun around with a glare shot at the car that stopped. I raised my hand above my head in a questioning manner and raised an eyebrow when the car reversed and stopped in front of me. "What the fuck?" I whispered and stared at the tinted window of the car. The door of the driver's side opened and the first thing I saw was a foot wearing a brown brogue shoe. I took a step back when a man came out of the car. He was tall, muscular, and had brown hair that was swept back in a neat style. Around his jawline was a perfectly shaped beard. The man was good-looking, I would admit it. He stood tall in a tight dress shirt and dress pants. He raised his eyes to meet mine and his were a light shade of brown with some flecks of green in them. When he shut the door of his car, his face morphed into one of worry."Are you okay?" He asked and I sighed."You should not be driving at such speed on campus. You
|||My classes had ended for the day and I was exhausted and hungry. My feet hurt from walking around the whole place and my back hurt too. Each day that went by, I had to go through the small stress this pregnancy brought me. I rubbed my bump as I left the building with my phone raised to my face. I smiled at the text from Lucas, saying he was parked outside. I raised my head and saw him inside his car with the door opened. I placed my phone into my purse and walked down to the last step and as soon as I did, someone came into my line of vision. I frowned when I saw it was Matt."Hi," he said and I rolled my eyes."What do you want?" I asked and glanced at Lucas who was now focused on his phone. My phone vibrated in my purse and I knew it was a text from Lucas. Matt smiled and scratched the back of his head."I want to apologize for offending you in any way today. I'm a nice guy, sorry if I am stressing you or anything. You seem like a nice girl too and I want to be your friend," h
|||I blinked when Barry moved away from Axel who gasped when he did not see the key in his hand. Barry laughed and jogged out of the house. I giggled and glanced at Jared who was now using his phone with a frown on his face."I'm going to get their ass for that," Axel said."Can you not give me a picture in my head, man?" I pleaded and Axel winked before turning his attention toward Jared."Jared, my man. Where's my gift?"Jared had gone on a business trip in Japan and in our group chat, Axel had nagged that Jared buys him something."I did. It's in my apartment," he replied in a terse tone.Axel chuckled but awkwardly. "Are you okay?""Yeah, you sound weird," I said and Jared nodded."I'm fine. It's probably jetlag from me coming back last night. Must've been still tired.""Don't worry," Axel said, standing up. "You hungry? I can make you something to eat because the only time you visits is either for food or to take something from our kitchen."Jared smiled, genuinely this time and
|||I got home that evening feeling exhausted and dreading the perks of being pregnant. Worst of all, I was always hungry and noticed I started adding a small amount of weight. Most of my pants didn't fit me anymore, my shirts were tighter and only my dresses fit at this point. It made me wonder how the remaining five months were going to be.As I walked into the living room, I saw the large television was turned on and showing a basketball game, which meant that Lucas was home. I got the aroma of pasta and fried chicken which made my mouth water. I inhaled deeply and smiled then made my way to the kitchen. I smiled at the sight of Lucas backing me then glanced at the bowls sitting on the island in the center of the kitchen."What's that delicious smell?" I asked, walking into the kitchen.Lucas spun around and I raised an eyebrow. He was wearing an apron that had stains on it. The places where the apron didn't cover were equally stained and I almost laughed when I saw a green leaf s
|||Lucas' POV"Come again?" Jackie requested in a neutral voice. This wasn't happening. There was no way this was possible. Just when my life was going to be full of happiness and love with Jackie, someone comes and ruins it.Cindy barely looked in Jackie's direction as her attention was on me. She dropped her arms she was crossing and frowned deeper."Lucas, you are a father," she said. "No," I retorted. "I don't know what you're on about but you need to understand that I am nothing of such to you."Cindy scoffed. "I did not come from Redside to lie to you. I have evidence to back up what I am saying."I clenched my hands and looked at Jackie. Her eyes were fixed on something behind Cindy and when I followed her gaze, I saw a baby stroller. My heart tightened at the possibility of a baby laying in it and the fact that what Cindy was saying could be true."Cindy, leave," I ordered and she scoffed."No," she said. "I won't because I've lost everything because of you. I have a family
|||Lucas' POV"I'll start the payment for the apartment you'll be staying in," I said, parking in front of a hotel building. "In the meantime, you'll stay in this hotel." I dropped my hands from the steering wheel and glanced at Cindy beside me on the passenger seat. She was silent and had not said anything since I drove her out of the neighborhood, which was good for me because I was too angry to say anything to her or hear her speak. "How safe is this place?" She asked."What kind of a question is that?" I asked back and she sighed heavily."I've been living with our son—""Your son," I cut her off. "He's your child until I find out what if he is mine.""Whatever," Cindy said. "What I am trying to say is that I don't feel safe. Ever since I started staying in hotels, I've always been attacked, robbed, or almost assaulted. I fear for the safety of my son and myself."I rolled my eyes, not feeling anything like concern for her. "How does that concern me?" I asked through the litt
