Good Morning

I woke up to Lyra on top of me, hugging me like a koala bear and snoring lightly in my ear. I must be a heavy sleeper because, for the life of me, I don't know how I slept through this. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life.

I wished I could reach for my phone; I would take a picture, but my phone was in my jeans pocket on the floor, and I didn't want to wake Lyra up. I looked over to the window to see the sun had come up and shone through the blinds.

I needed to go to the bathroom, and Lyra was just an inch away from my morning wood. About the time tried to figure out a way of moving her without her waking up, Lyra mumbled something into my ear incoherently.

Then she rolled over onto her right side, her head lying on my arm. The covers had been thrown off in the night so the sheets wouldn't get in the way. I slowly moved my arm and gently put my other hand under Lyra's cheek. Then I placed her head down on the bed.

I somehow managed to get up without waking Lyra.
