That's my sister Lyra, folks. My goodness, last night was terrific. Yeah, awesome right until Lyra had her meltdown. I don't know the whole story; I just know that I practically slammed my door in Lyra's face. If she doesn't show up at the ranch, I will be agitated.
I'm glad, however, that she didn't sleep with Steven. I know I poke fun at her constantly. But I also know that she didn't have those types of feelings for him. I'm sure she's the type who will wait until she gets married. Of course, that's how I felt until Jace walked into my life. Three months into our relationship and neither one of us could wait any longer.
Looking Back*
It was one of those sappy love at first sight moments. After attending a college party at our best friend Holly's place, Lyra and I had decided to go to the club that night. We had had a couple of beers and wanted to let loose, and we knew we wouldn't be able to drink at the club. We were also single and needed a change in scenery. Neither one of us was into any of the guys that always went to these college parties.
Anyhow, we called an Uber because we had been drinking. Once we arrived at the club, we went straight to the hip-hop dance floor. This club happened to be our favorite because there were several different sections to choose from. There was the hip-hop room, of course, then a country western room, a band room for live music, and even a room for Karaoke.
Lyra and I had been shaking our booties out on the dance floor for about thirty minutes when Lyra's eyes grew as big as saucers. The next thing I knew, two muscular arms had wrapped around my waist, and I was grinding up against someone. I then looked up to see Steven behind Lyra, and I mimicked the face she had just given me. We both smiled and shrugged at each other and went with it. After a few minutes, I got up the nerve to turn my head to see my dance partner, and there was Jace in all of his glory. Dark Brown hair, intense bright blue eyes, a five o'clock shadow covered his finely sculpted jaw. He had worn a black button-down shirt that night with dark washed-out jeans and dark boots. When I looked into his gorgeous eyes, I wanted to kiss him right then and there, but I didn't.
He had bent down to yell in my ear, well yeah, because it was so loud.
"Can we go somewhere where it's a bit quieter so that we can talk?" I looked at Lyra, who was having the time of her life.
When I finally caught her attention, I looked up at Jace and then pointed to the band room. She just nodded, and Jace and I went on our way. A couple of other couples scattered here and there in the band room. It was the quietest place to go because there wasn't a band playing that night.
We found a table hidden away in a corner behind the stage and sat next to one another. We made our introductions and talked well into the night. We learned that we had a lot in common, and Jace had found some way to touch me in one way or the other the whole time. My skin would tingle every time there was skin-to-skin contact. My heart never seemed to stop pounding hard and fast, and I was aroused. I didn't do anything about it, though. I didn't want him thinking I was a floozy. I had forgotten entirely about Lyra until she texted me to say she was ready to head home. She also said she had placed a request for an Uber.
I wasn't ready to leave Jace, but I knew it was the right thing to do at the time. So we exchanged numbers, and Jace walked me outside. Lyra and Steven were waiting, and he was asking her if she might want to go home with him instead. Goodness; I should have known then that this situation with Steven wasn't going to work out.
When the Uber arrived, Jace spun me around to face him. He kissed me on the forehead, then looked deep into my eyes.
"Is it ok if I call you tomorrow? I want to take you out to eat or something. So we can get to know each other better?" Jace asked.
I honestly thought it would be a week before I heard from him. Well, because he's a guy, and guys always take their sweet time about things. Words wouldn't form, so I had just nodded. He grabbed my hand, and we walked across to the Uber. He opened the door for me, helped me in, then gave me a quick peck on the cheek. He turned around to see that Steven was still talking to Lyra. Then glanced back at me.
"I'll go save her, don't worry," he said reassuringly and gave me a wink before walking away.
Jace and I have been pretty much inseparable since that night. He lives here with Lyra and me, and neither she nor I care. Steven, on the other hand, waited two weeks before he contacted Lyra.
End of Flashback*
"So, do you think she'll show up? '' Jace asked from the bed.
Oh, that hunk of a man drives me crazy. He's lying there with only a sheet covering his midsection. I know he's naked, and it's taking all I have not to pounce on him.
"I don't know, but she better. Or, as I said, I'll whoop her butt," I said while making my way back to the bathroom.
I was almost done with my makeup when Lyra knocked on my door.
"Blaze has had a pretty rough go of it, like Lyra. I'm thinking they will end up being perfect for each other," Jace said as he began to get dressed.
Men are so lucky; it only takes them ten minutes to get ready. Us women, a freaking an hour, that's if we're lucky. So I've been awake since eight.
Jace*
I love this woman with all my heart and soul. She's so cute in anything she does, and right now, her face was all scrunched up while she applied her mascara. I don't even know why she bothers with the stuff. She is naturally beautiful. With her thick long, auburn red hair and emerald green eyes that I tend to get lost in—light skin with sprinkles of freckles on her face. You can tell she is of Welsh descent. We fit well together, with her being five foot seven inches tall and me being five foot eleven inches tall.
From the first night, I saw her dancing on that dance floor with Lyra, I have loved her. I would do anything to make this woman happy. I know it has only been six months since we've been together, but my last year of college is about to be underway. So I'm going to propose, and if Vega says yes, I hope to be married to her by this time next year. She finished putting on her makeup and glanced at me in the mirror.
I walked up to her and moved her hair from her shoulder to kiss her neck. She moaned as I nipped at her delicate flesh. I pulled her dress up and slid her panties to the floor. I can't keep my hands off of this woman; she's so perfect in every way. I placed my fingers to her bud, swirling her juices around, and she bucked her perfect ass into my stiff manhood.
I unbuckled my belt and unbuttoned my pants, and they fell to the floor. Vega was so wet and ready for me. I can't wait another moment to be inside of her. My beautiful Vega, I continued to rub her pearl with my fingers as she ground her plump cheeks into my erection. I lined my shaft up with her sex and plunged myself into her hard and fast. We don't have much time. I wished that we had, though. I wanted to take my time with her.
"Tell me your mine," I growled. "Only mine," I said as I gritted my teeth together and tried not to cum.
"Oh, Jace, Jace, I'm yours, always yours," Vega cried out.
I circled her swollen bud with my fingers and continued to pump in and out of her. Her walls started to tighten, which was good because I was about to blow.
"Cum for me, love; let's cum together," I whispered into her ear.
"Yes, Jace, Oh, Please," Vega cried. Her walls closed in on me, and my seed spurts out, deep inside of her womb.
She shook as the orgasm hit her, and I held her up with my arms so she wouldn't fall forward. I placed soft kisses behind her ear while she came down from her orgasmic high.
"I love you, Vega, so much," I whispered.
"I love you too. Words can't even express my love for you, Jace," Vega said as my cock fell from her, and she turned around and kissed me passionately.
Vega and I got ourselves cleaned up, and now we are headed down the highway towards the ranch. I hope Lyra shows up. She and Blaze would be so perfect for each other.
BLAZE*I managed to get here fifteen minutes early. I had been pacing back and forth in front of the large ranch house. Someday I hoped to have a ranch house in the country like this one, where my wife and three-plus kids would reside. I frowned at the thought. At this rate, I would be lucky ever to have a

BLAZE*Everyone had returned. Vega ran up to Jace and gave him a quick hug and kiss. They walked over and sat where Vega was seated between Jace and me. I wondered where Jace and Tanner had taken off to? They hadn't said where they were going when they left. However, Jace had asked me to keep Veg
JACE*With Vega gone, I thought this would be a great time to talk to dad. "Mr.Riley, sir, can I talk to you for a moment in private?" I asked. Richard stood up and bent over to kiss Rebecca."Would you like some coffee, sweety?" Richard asked Rebecca."No, love, I think I'm fine for now," Rebecca said."Alright, son, let's go over to the cafeteria, and we will have a chat," Richard said as he flung his arm around me, and we headed out the door.Once we arrived at the cafeteria, Richard and I grabbed a coffee cup; and decided on straight black coffee. We found a table for two and sat down, and sipped our coffee. Even though Richard's like a dad to me, I was nervous. I wanted my talk with Richard to be perfect, like when I proposed to Vega."Well, son, let's have it; what's going on?" Richard asked.I took a sip from my coffee and set the cup back down on the table."Well, sir, you know that Vega and I have been together for six months. We spend pretty much all of our free time together
BLAZE*I sat at my desk on a Saturday morning and tried to calm my nerves. Taylor, our office manager, had left Thursday with no explanation. I don't know how the office would run smoothly without her. Jace, Tanner, Conner, and Wade would be arriving soon.I'm so glad this happened when we were all on a break. The guys and I knew that we would hire crews to split up and run our units. We have been so busy building and landscaping that we hadn't realized how backed up we were getting. That might be why Taylor left because we were all constantly in the field. Taylor had been here alone to cover the office. Jace had been here now and then when he worked on building designs, but other than that, Taylor must have been lonely. I've got to hand it to Taylor, though; she kept the office clean and in order. Taylor had been trying to tell us for a few months that building operations had been piling up. None of us had taken the time to listen, though. I looked at four mansions that needed to have
LYRA*I have heard and read up on near-death experiences. When I was in the ambulance, I went into the future. I was getting married to the man of my dreams, quite literally, I must say—and a double wedding at that. That would be amazing if that wedding were to happen. It had been enough to jump-start my heart and had brought me back to reality, which happened to be unimaginable pain. I couldn't open my eyes. All I could do was mumble, and I couldn't form words. Now I lay here and listened to everyone who came to visit me as I laid there in peace. Sometimes my soul would leave my body, and I could see whoever happened to be talking to me as I hovered above them. I would will myself to wake up. Looking at myself, though, kept me in this realm of peace. I did not want to go back to the pain I knew would consume me once I woke up.I drifted in and out of dreams that made no sense. More people that I had never met before came and went; as the future continued and flashed before my eyes.An
JACE*I had just left the office and was headed back to the hospital to pick up Vega. It was now eleven o'clock. It would have been nice to sleep in this morning, but Blaze and his all work, and no play, had to ruin it. I feel bad for Taylor. I was the only one who worked in the office from time to time. I would meet new clients there and draw up my building drafts. Otherwise, she was alone and running around like a chicken with her head cut off. She made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. Made certain supplies were ordered, and we had plenty of stock at the warehouse. We are probably Lowes and Home Depot's most favorite customers now. I hope that Vega will take me up on the offer to do the Secretary's job.Once at the hospital, I quietly walked towards Lyra's ICU room. I peek into the room and see that Vega was smiling for once. I slid the glass door open and stepped inside. Then slid the door shut."What's going on? You look so happy. Did Lyra move or anything?" I asked as I
