A month has passed in a flash.
Diana was already used to working in Forrest Research Institute. She already knows her way around the building and has settled to her routine.
During lunch break, she would join Kate and Miriam at the cafeteria. Their group even expanded when Katherine Atwood, the girl wearing glasses before and had a confrontation with Bryan Cook and Clara Holt previously, actually got hired that day. Now there are two Kates in their group, which is why they adapted a habit to calling Katherine Atwood, Kathy.
Their two male colleagues, Liam Branigan and Rupert Greaves would occasionally join them for lunch as well.
Overall, Diana gets along well with her colleagues, letting her focus on her work and prepare for the exam for Medical Laboratory Scientist, which is getting nearer.
Meanwhile. the Winchester Family's mansion was bustling with activities.
The wedding went by without a hitch. Even the reception ran smoothly. All eyes were on Chantal and Henry. The newlyweds went around the room, giving toast to every table and taking pictures with them. The guests were enjoying the activities, signing the book with well-wishes, dining, conversing with old and new friends, and participating in the games. It was towards the end of the program when Chantal was suddenly feeling queasy, taking the attention of everyone in the event. Beatrice and Leah, who were always at her side, passed her the bucket right away, to which Chantal dumped all the food she ate. "Belchhhh" "Ahhh" "What happened to her?" "Is she okay?" "Is it something she ate?" They eyed their plate with fear.
Diana awoke the next morning, startled. She didn't expect to see Lucas in bed with her and still sleeping peacefully. Diana's head was rested on his muscular arm and her arm was on his bare chest. Diana gulped at the realization. This is certainly a morning treat. It's like having a real live top model on her bed. He looked like a hunk from a magazine cover. Diana tried to recall the events leading up to this moment and her cheeks became warm in embarrassment at the recollection. How did she even have the guts to make him stay last night? She was tired and a little tipsy the previous night, that she didn't realize what went on after that. She vaguely remembered having such dream of him being on bed with her. But at that moment, she thought it was too impossible. In her dream, the
The 3 days without Lucas went by in a flash. Whenever it's break time, Diana and Lucas would take the chance to call each other or just send random messages. Before sleep, Lucas would also video call her until she is ready for bed. It was as if Lucas didn't even leave town. Earlier that day, Diana received a call from her grandmother Regina. The old lady wanted to meet her for lunch the next day. She couldn't think of a reason to refuse so she just agreed. She didn't forget to mention to Lucas about her plans for the next day, in case Lucas wanted to meet up after he gets back home. -- Diana got off work and told her colleagues she won't be joining them for lunch that day. She also left Lucas a voicemail telling him she's on the way to meet her grandmother at the Waterfront Well. Lucas was stil
The grey haired man wearing a brown tweed coat entered the private room. "Mr. Fredric, welcome. It's so nice to see you." Osmond stood in greeting. "Hello. How is everybody? I trust everyone is enjoying this fine weather today?" Dillon Fredric entered and sat comfortably next to Diana. "You must be Diana." Diana nodded stiffly. Vanessa and Osmond eyed Diana in warning. "And you must be the new Mr. and Mrs. Ward, hello." "A pleasure to meet you Mr. Fredric." Henry greeted politely. "Oh the pleasure is all mine. I'm happy to be joining all of you today." Dillon Fredric was chatty and approachable, especially to the rich. He was already eyeing the woman next to him and was already satisfied with what he's seeing. She will definitely be an upgrade from his previous marriage.
Instead of the Forrest Research Institute, Lucas told Kyle to take them to the supermarket instead. "Wait. I still have to go back to work." Diana told Lucas. "It's okay. I already applied for the rest of the day off for you." Lucas reassured her. "Huh? But wouldn't that be weird?" Lucas chuckled. "Diana, even if you didn't want to broadcast our relationship, my supervisors and assistants know about it. I don't want them treating their future madam badly." "Future madam?" Diana's breath got caught in her throat. 'He's really thinking that far ahead already?' Lucas grinned seeing Diana's face. "Sooner or later, everyone will know. Try getting used to the idea, okay?" Lucas squeezed her hand. Diana heaved a long sigh. "Doesn't feel like I have much of a choice now, is it?"
After having lunch, Lucas showed Diana around his home. He mentioned to her that he has a pool and that it would be nice to have a swim since they don't have anything else planned for the rest of the day. Diana wanted to decline since she didn't bring any set of extra clothes with her. But as if reading her mind, Lucas took her to one of the rooms in the house and told her that she can use that room whenever she's there. Diana was surprised at this, but was delighted that she can actually go for a swim. Opening the closet, she saw several brand new clothes, ranging from sleepwear, casual, formal wear, even work clothes and formal dinner wear. A chest of drawers even has underwear, socks and other items that she may need. There was even a shelf with a lot of shoes in different kinds. She found a two-piece swimsuit that is brand new, with the tag st
For the rest of the week, Diana was staying in Lucas's home. Her room was barely used, only for changing clothes and taking showers when Lucas is also in the other shower at the same time. Diana would avoid doing it early in the morning with him as they still need to get to work and she didn't want to be drained of energy before work. Lucas didn't insist on it as well, anyway when they get home from work, they can always engage into it whenever they want. Heather asked Diana one time where she was at, seeing that she didn't come home that night. Diana called her and told her of the recent events except for the intimate details. But Heather smartly knew that her bestfriend's relationship with the boyfriend had already progressed. She wasn't too worried about it though. Diana is capable of handling herself and from Lucas's reputation, she knows he's sincere with his relat
Chantal and Henry arrived just then and noticed that their friends were crowding someone. When they got the person's face clearer, they saw that it was Diana. "Why is she here?" Chantal spoke. "Chantal! Henry! You guys are here. Yeah, we just saw Diana here too." Leah said. "So, where's your boyfriend Diana? Or don't tell me, you got a new one already? Is it someone rich this time? Which old businessman are you trying to seduce this time, huh?" "Let me pass." Diana spoke coldly. She has no time to deal with their stupidity today. "Geez Diana. How low could you fall? You made it seem like you can take care of yourself by not even caring whether you get disinherited or not. And yet, you're here trying to cling to some old businessman? What's the matter, your boyfriend can't give you what you need, right?" Chantal taunted. "Hey
