Chapter 5

She sighed and tossed the book away while landing heavily on the bed. She had dreams, dreams of being a great chef and now she's stuck in this God forsaken house with a beast that she knows from nowhere.

Early in the morning, she was woken up by the voices she heard coming from downstairs. It was the voice of an elderly lady and that of Tyler's. She pressed her ears against the wall so she could hear what they were saying.

She heard footsteps approaching and immediately rushed off to lie on the bed. The door opened and Tyler walked inside with a woman whom he introduced as his mother.

Anna was surprised, standing before her was a beautiful woman likely to be in her late 40s.

She walked up to Anna and held her shoulder lightly.

"Oh my how pretty she looks, how are you doing? Mrs parker asked her delightfully

Anna smiled and told her she was doing just okay.

Mrs parker turned towards her son and led him out of the room by the wrist.

She took him out asking him who Anna was and what she was doing in his house.

When he didn't answer, she patted his back and asked that hope he wasn't doing anything bad.

He replied in the affirmative. And assured his mother all was well.

He so love his move and would do anything to make her happy. He could be harsh and bad and ruthless to every other person but to his mom he was just a baby.

She walked back to Anna's room, sat on her bed and looked her straight in the eyes.

Anna could not keep up with the gaze and kept her face down.

She asked Anna to look up and see her as a mother figure. She asked Anna if she was doing fine and to tell her if her son was hurting her in any way.

Anna told her she was doing quite good and there was no issues at all.

The elderly woman smiled and told Anna she will be leaving now.

She was escorted to the door by Anna and she bade her a goodbye kiss before her driver drove off.

She went back into her room and thought if what she just did was stupid or was she only trying to avoid getting her son into trouble.

She could have easily asked for help from the woman.

Tyler bursted in and Anna had to tell him to atleast knock on the door before coming inside; a normal courtesy.

He didn't know when he replied in the affirmative and apologised for barging in.

He was surprised how he could be soft towards her . He was someone people feared and presumed to be heartless and harsh but here he was having this soft spot for this young lady; what could be the reason. He definitely was not ready to love because it was not part of his agenda. He only wanted sex mates and was ready to spend enough on them to satisfy his lust.

He asked her if there was anything she wanted so he could send the guards to get them.

She told him she was sick and tired of being kept like a prisoner and wanted to live her normal life. He smiled and told her to quit thinking about going away . He said he thought she was willing to be his mistress.

Anna told him there were other girls around he could go flirt or have some sex with and enjoy himself to the fullest if he wants so why is he still keeping her.

He looked her straight in the eyes and told her to quit thinking for leaving this place and if that's her plan then he will never allow her outside the four walls of the house again.

She was scared and knew she had to play a fast one on him. She needed to be acquainted with the surroundings and the doings of the house so she could plan her escape well.

She pulled him close and asked if he will allow her own a restaurant and be a chef if she becomes his mistress.

He looked at her and said that is only an opportunity for her to run away which she replied to that she was not going to run away. She only needed to work and fulfil her life king dreams of being a great chef one day.

He told her he will look into the matter and give her a feedback .

Anna thanked him and focused her gaze on the sight outside her window.

He moved closer to her and tried touching her hair but on a second thought, he withdrew his hands and went out of the room.

She had no mobile gadget to call anyone for help then it occured to her mind that there was a landline downstairs she could use to call 911.

She waited till he was out of the house before checking to see if there was no guard in sight to stop her plan.

Just as she was about going downstairs, she saw him came back with a young girl of about 20 tailing behind him.

She cursed under her breath and called him a pervert. I mean who will go for such young lady just to settle his lust and discard her and what the hell was the young girl thinking too.

She went back to her room and had to endure the moans that rented the air for the next one hour.

After a while, she noticed him and the lady going out of the house . She heard him instruct his guard to not allow anyone into or outside the house as he will be away for a couple of hours.

Now is the perfect time for Anna to go through with her plan.

She quietly walked downstairs and got a hold of the phone. She dialled 919 and as she waited in fear for the call to be picked, her heart could be heard beating so fast and sweats breaking down her face
