Deal over Dinner?

It was a few minutes to seven when Jade arrived at the English restaurant, inwardly grateful that Rafferty hadn't chosen one of those clubs people spent time grinding against each other and getting high, she had almost thrown up the last time she was at a club.

And she had only gone there to meet with a potential investor who had ended up being a pervert and blatantly told her that he would only invest in her company if she spent the night with him.

She could still remember the repelling colour of his brown teeth, the darkness of his lips and his strong provocative perfume. It had taken discipline not to pour the wine she'd had in hand on his face, and she had cursed him silently, inwardly and politely declined.

She had cursed her well-mannered personality that day, wishing she could let go the way she wanted and send her palm flying against the man's cheeks.
