CHAPTER 7: OBSESSION AND THREATS

When Sara opened her eyes, it was mid—afternoon, almost close to 4 o'clock, she felt sleepy, but she had more energy than before. She picked up her phone and began to check the emails and messages that had arrived while she was sleeping. Among the emails received, Michael had written to her that he had already reached an agreement with the affected European countries and Wall Street. Thanks to the intervention of one of the senior partners on behalf of the Peterson family. Although confirmation from some managers was still pending, it was already a given that they had a chance to clear their name and start again.

Without being able to point her out later, according to Jason Peterson, the elder brother of Mr. Jeff Peterson.

Sara, reading this email, was happy. At least one piece of good news in all this mess. With that part settled, all she has to worry about is how to get the divorce in time. Before Inversions Technological S.A. released the new products and services to the market, besides that during that ceremony. She would have to introduce herself as the rightful owner and founder.

Everyone was waiting to know who the founder of Inversions Technological is in the last 5 years ago. Usually, they are always being managed by the directors and she has never had to show her face, and her father prefers to keep a low profile within the office. Had it been up to her she would put her father as the president or the vice president of the company. but the man was too stubborn, not even her mother Mrs. Jimena, could do anything.

While she was still going through the emails and messages, suddenly a male voice interrupted her.

—Good afternoon, Miss Cosette, how are you?  It was Dr. Harold Tristan, who has overseen my care since I was hospitalized. He has been quite kind and has been helping me. He's quite a dedicated doctor, he's also quite young, I don't think he's more than 32 years old. Besides being quite handsome, you can tell he’s, my type. —well, doctor. I'm quite well, Dr. Harold, you need me to cooperate in something. I say this while giving my best smile. It's a form of flirting, which I learned from a friend is always effective for me,

It's a pity I'm married, although if I play my cards right I'll probably be divorced before the month is out. If that happens, I know who I'll be chasing. While talking about meaningless things and trying to look as tender as possible. Apparently, an undesirable person snuck into the room. And with the look on his face I assume he saw my flirting scene. Which caused Dr. Harold to blush and leave the room.

—You see I wasn't wrong when I said you're an opportunistic tramp. —If I am an opportunistic tramp, that's my problem. If it bothers you so much, you can divorce me. —Yes, you're right. I should get a divorce, but I want something in return. I never give anything for free. —Ask for whatever you want, except my body.

—What can you offer me besides your body? You have nothing. Besides, who sent you to get married? You should be grateful to have the opportunity to marry me. Besides, I've been here a long time. My time is worth gold, you know?

He says that as he walks over to the bed, where she is lying.

—First of all, your father forced me to marry you. Second, if your time is so valuable, I don't want to take it away from you. What's more, don't come to visit me. Seeing your face makes me nauseous. Third, I can offer you anything but my body. Name your price.

—Why do you refuse, to spend a night with me, any woman would be pleased in your place. For a slut like you, sleeping with me should be a great opportunity. —Mr. Hilton don't disrespect me, I haven't disrespected you, other women may be interested or like to spend time with you. But in my case it is the opposite of you, I detest you, I want you to sign the blessed divorce and disappear from my life.

—You still haven't answered me why you don't want to sleep with me? Are you afraid that you will end up liking me? And I abandoned you in the end as I have done with several. Don't worry, if you're obedient you can stay by my side. —You wretched, wretched, wretched man! I'd rather sleep with a dog than with you. Those statements made Caspian's eyes widen, as big as the size of a dinner plate and with anger rising to the surface, he grabbed Sara's waist, lifted her off the bed and carried her out of the room. Even with her screams echoing throughout the hospital corridor, some officers and nurses did not hesitate to approach. But as soon as they realized it was Mr. Hilton, they backed away. Hilton, they backed away.

The man carried Sara against her will and put her in the car. Even with the screaming and groping he was giving her. He threatened her.

—Apparently you are quite well and healthy. If you keep yelling, your family will pay for it. He says that with reddened eyes. While he buckled her belt. Sara is perplexed and has no choice but to keep her mouth shut. Before long they were leaving the hospital premises.

The trip was being quite quiet and that made Sara uncomfortable. When she looked out the window she noticed that they were not heading towards the mansion. And that worried her. —Where the hell are you taking me? —You said you'd rather sleep with the dogs than with me, didn't you? With a cynical smile. He adds. Let's get your wish. —You're insane, here I get off. Let me go. The woman screamed, frightened by what she had just heard. Caspian wasn't used to hearing a woman scream. Let alone her groping him while he was driving. So he opened the glove compartment of the car. He took a spray and sprayed it on her before Sara realized she was already asleep.

When Sara regained consciousness. She was tied to a stone column. And at the end of her sight. There was a cage full of jealous dogs. And next to it was Caspian, sitting on a piece of furniture drinking, A cold sweat ran down her back. And she exclaimed.

—Caspian, you're not seriously thinking about doing this to me, are you? She says this while tears are streaming down her face. Desperation and helplessness, as well as fear were taking over her —Sara, I don't understand why you're crying, you said you'd rather sleep with dogs than with me? I'm just fulfilling your wish. She says this last thing as if she didn't care.

—I didn't mean it, I said it on impulse. —So are you going to give me your body? Or are you going to give it to these dogs today?

Sara couldn't believe her ears. She obviously didn't want to sleep with Caspian. But between him and the dogs the answer was obvious.

—Caspian, I don't want to do it with you, but I don't want to do it with the dogs either. —It's a pity, my patience is exhausted, you must choose.

Sara, stunned and with fear on the surface of her skin proposed

—I want a contract that assures me that you will divorce me as soon as I give you my body. —Yes, that's what you want. In two days you will have the contract and that same night you will sleep with me. And slowly approaching Sara's face he added. What happened here, if anyone finds out, your family will pay for it. Do you understand me?

Sara, looking at the man's face, bent her head and nodded. —She also noted that if I like your body, I will continue to possess it. I will continue to possess it until I feel like it. Even after the divorce. —What the hell are you talking about? After the divorce we have nothing to do with each other. —You're right, that's why I want to sleep with you, I want to test you and depending on whether I like it I can give you a divorce. —This doesn't seem fair to me, Caspian. The deal was, after I sleep with you, I would get my divorce. —And you will get it, don't worry. I'm a man of my word. But just as you want a divorce, so do I want your body. And if I can't have it, let the dogs have it —you're a bastard. —That mouth. Remember, you're still tied up.

Sara was silent under Caspian's comment. He was right, if he wanted to, he could release the animals right there.

—She agreed. It was the only word she could say. Under that situation. —Good girl, keep being obedient. And nothing bad will happen to you. After saying that last word to her. He grabbed her tearful face and kissed her.

The kiss was intense enough to take Sara's breath away for a moment. When Caspian broke away, all he said was, "That's not so bad for a tramp's kisses.

That comment further angered Sara. —Keep your comments to yourself, you might regret it later. —What about? Caspian said indifferently.

Sara kept silent. A minute later, she answered. —You're welcome, I was wrong.

Caspian just stared at her for a while. Then he untied her while he told her.

—As long as you behave yourself and obey me, this won't happen again. Agreed? —Yes, Mr. Hilton, and then he kept silent.

The walk back to the mansion proved to be less frustrating. Sara kept thinking about what had happened. The shiver still hadn't gone away. No doubt Caspian would dare to leave her there, at that moment she realized that her husband had no soul. That explained why he always got what he wanted. But just imagining having had relations with animals made her nauseous.

Bear it, Sara, for your freedom. That's what she said to herself internally. Some time later they arrived at the mansion. Sara got out of the vehicle and ran straight to her room and locked herself in. Without giving Caspian time to say anything.

The man got out of the car and entered the mansion, his face only reflected his dissatisfaction. And that was bothering him, the situation was not going as he wanted, he went to his office and locked himself inside the office, he dedicated himself to review the papers that his subordinates had sent them. A short time later, he realized that he had not returned Sara's cell phone when he rummaged through his briefcase. An almost imperceptible half—smile appeared on his face.

Let's make a bet, he said to himself internally. She will either come to me or stay locked in her room unable to communicate with the outside world. What will weigh more, her pride or the need to communicate? With that in mind, he exclaimed. —She will come to me otherwise, I will punish her.

Meanwhile, in Sara's room. She was crying while hugging a pillow, the phone was the least of her worries.

You really blew it this time. Sara Cosette, what the hell happened to that man? Why his obsession? What did I do? These were questions I could not find answers to, nor logic. He just wanted to get it over with, if giving up his body was the quickest way out, but at that moment he let out a snort.

—It's easier to think about it than to do it. It's my first time and he thinks I'm a slut, he won't be nice to me.

After saying this she started to think.

What if I confess to him? Not impossible. This is frustrating and I can't ask anyone for help either, because this is too intimate. Not even my parents. I only have two weeks before time runs out.

At that moment, Sara noticed that her cell phone was missing. —You son of a bitch, he took my cell phone.

By this time, Sara was at her limit. Patience was something she didn't handle very well. She wanted to leave the room and demand her cell phone back. But she couldn't rush and do such a thing because she might make a mistake and make him angry. Being submissive was the only option she had. But just the same, if she didn't want to give him back his cell phone, it would be no different than wasting her time and getting a ticket to hell.

Do I go to him, take my chances, or stay in the safety of my room? That was the question. After an hour of careful thought. She decided to go downstairs and confront the man.

The cell phone belonged to her so she had every right to ask for it. When she came downstairs, the room was completely silent. There was no sign of any of the maids. This made her nervous, she decided to walk through the entire living room and part of the kitchen. She found nothing.

When she was about to give up and go back to her room, she could visualize that the office was on. It was already 8 p.m. Why was Caspian still locked in his office? She stood in front of the entrance for a long time. She didn't know whether to go in or not, the last thing she wanted was to interrupt him or make him angry, she didn't want to take the consequences.

In the end, she stood in front and before she could react, the door had opened. Caspian was fed up with waiting, so he had decided to go to her room to hand her the device. To his surprise, he found the woman in front of his office.

—You need something, Miss Cosette. He said that while a half smile formed on his face. He was satisfied, because she had come, but the very stubborn one did not want to enter the office. —I didn't want to bother you, Mr. Hilton, I just wanted my cell phone back. He said that while looking the other way. —You know? There are ways to ask for things and this is not one of them.

Sara was surprised by his answer and looked him in the face. She was about to yell at him, that he was crazy. But she decided to bite her tongue, when she saw the expressionless face. This man, he always wears a poker face. Except when he gets angry. Caspian stepped aside and invited her into the office. Sara didn't have much choice if she wanted to retrieve her cell phone. So she obediently entered, stood there while looking around. Meanwhile, Caspian went to his desk, opened the first drawer, and took out the cell phone.

He then proceeded to hand it to her. She asked a question into the air, not expecting him to answer it. —Where are the maids? He looked at her and answered, "On weekends they work until 5 o'clock. She answered surprised, usually the maids always work until 7 or 8 at night. —You don't have to know, you won't stay long anyway.

Sara wanted to say something, but decided to keep quiet. Caspian noticed her attempt to speak and commented. —If you want to say something, you can say it, I'm not going to do anything to you just because you talk.

Sara laughed to herself. And commented. —The last time I spoke and expressed my thoughts. I ended up tied to a concrete column. Surrounded by jealous dogs.  Caspian, who was sitting in front of his desk, looked up. And said to him. —I heard that women were hard to please. I had never come across such a woman until now. You said you'd rather sleep with the dogs than with me? I only wanted to fulfill your wish. —Don't be cynical.

Caspian, a half smile formed on his face. As he said. —This is the first time we've had a conversation without shouting. —You know what? I want to make a deal with you? That benefits us both. Just answer me why you married me? It wasn't for money, that's for sure, otherwise I would have asked for what you get as a wife, during the divorce. And, according to your own words, I'm not your type either, so why?  The only thing left would be a threat.

At the same time, as he said that he stroked his chin. And Sara watched every move he made, every word he said.

—You're right. Even I don't know why I married you. Take it as an impulse of a mental attraction. —Mental attraction? —What does that mean?

—Well, just as there are physically attracted to each other. There are also people who are mentally attracted to each other.

—Don't tell me you fell in love with me, because you don't believe it yourself. —Believe it or not, I was attracted to you. But it was a passing attraction. It happens to all of us. —But not everyone gets married because of that passing attraction. And now that I know the reason why I was forced to marry you. I don't like it very much. My father assured me that I would thank him later for this marriage. But I can't find anything to thank him for. He forced me to marry a woman who, it seems, was mentally attracted to me. This makes even a shred of sense.

Shortly after Caspian had said all that, Sara understood why he acted the way he did. If she had been in the same situation as Caspian, she would also feel completely helpless, angry and frustrated. As she thought about what she was going to say next, an idea occurred to her since we were in this situation. It wouldn't be a bad idea. At that moment, Sara spoke.

—Mr. Hilton, since we have things clear. Why don't we divorce. It is true that I had feelings for you before, but that is no longer the case. I suppose it was an impulse and I apologize for that.

Caspian managed to notice, the woman's intentions, unconsciously he drew a half smile on his face which he knew how to hide from her. Something he was liking about Sara, was that she didn't give up easily when she wanted something. In that she was a lot like him.  In stubbornness.

—Sara. Even if now you're regretting having married on impulse. As he said that, he got up from his seat and approached Sara. Caspian took advantage of the situation and cornered her while he added: "You must pay the price, for the divorce. You must pay the price, for the divorce, this way, you will learn not to make rash decisions just because of a simple attraction.

—And why should you be the one to set the price? Sara refuted him. —Because it was you who proposed the marriage? And now he wants a divorce? Don't you think I deserve a little compensation? He answered as he came dangerously close to her face.

Sara had no arguments to refute what Caspian had said. If she said anything, she would be contradicting herself. Which would leave her in an embarrassing and precarious position. Her pride would not allow it.

While Sara kept silent. Caspian, only spent his time observing every millimeter of her face until he stopped at her lips. He felt a great impulse to kiss him and when he saw that Sara didn't speak or say anything. He didn't hold back.

Before he knew it, Sara was being kissed intensely by Caspian. And no matter how hard she struggled, he wouldn't leave her alone. Until she managed to break free for a minute and say. —Are you drunk?
