Chapter 3 ~ Right For once
"Don't get me wrong, I don't miss the voice. I just..." Skye pursed his lips as he looked at the scrolls once more with mixed emotions. Ever since that day he awoke to his powers, the voice had been completely silent.
Almost as if it had vanished altogether without warning.
As a result, it left Skye with a strange sense of emptiness. Like he had lost a part of himself yet knew it was with him but was not able to see or access the voice.
Why had the voice even appeared back then only to vanish?
Why had he heard Nimue's voice back at the lake?
Why had she haunted him with her words?
It left him with so many unanswered questions during the six years, things that even with hints would be deemed nonsense.
