For the rest of the week, I've been keeping in touch with Katie. I find it weird, funny and intriguing at the same time. I find myself paying more attention to my phone and hoping she comes online and when she finally does, I won't be able to summon up courage and text her.

It's not about my pride this time but there's something I couldn't place my hand on that's stopping me from doing so.

Rather I'll wait until 8 pm when I'm settled before calling. At first the conversation was awkward, only filled with long fillers and eventually we'll hang up and end it there. But now, it has lingering more into an interesting one and we'll go on until it's late into the night.

I sat in my office, replaying the previous night's conversation in my head and smiling sheepishly into the thin air when a knock on my door jolted me out of my thoughts.
