Chapter 8 A Game

  \"How? How is it possible? I can’t believe...\"

Right there and then, I lifted the quilt and got out of the bed barefooted as swiftly as I can and run out of the room.

In the hallway, I met a doctor coming out beside a hospital bed led out of the room. It was covered with a white sheet and an arm was exposed hanging under the sheets.

I saw a golden hollow ring on her finger which was my parents wedding ring back then that never left her hand from that day onwards.

I opened the white sheet with trembling hands, revealing my mother\'s bloodless face.

I can feel that the sky has dropped on me. The only person who protected me in her whole life has really gone then I passed out.

When I awaken, I heard the nurse say, \"You must take good care of yourself. You donated blood when you are pregnant. Had the doctor not find it out on time, you would have lost the baby.\"

After hearing those words, I was so glad and relieved that the child is still alive.

Earlier, I was so worried about my mother and didn\'t pay much attention to my baby but I didn\'t expect that all this time he would still be able to survive.

With so much mixed emotions, I didn\'t know whether to cry or laugh…with the child alive but my mother gone…and how I will be able to cope is a big question.

The nurse left and I was alone in the room. I got out of the bed and with my shoes on headed outside.

As I was wandering around the hospital, I overheard a group of nurses talking about an accident.

\"Do you know? An older woman and a younger one came to the hospital at the same time and both were the victims of the car accident. They all happened to be RH-negative blood. Both of them needed blood transfusion but only one person was found who can donate blood.\"

\"I know! I heard that the donor’s husband proposed to use the blood to the younger woman instead. Which is why the older woman was not able to survive because there was not enough blood for the two victims. What hurts the most was that the donor was the daughter of the older one.”

When I heard of this I just felt my whole body became frozen cold. That was indeed the most craziest thing I have ever heard in my entire life.

I was grateful to Lester Ye for taking me to the hospital but who would have thought that he personally and purposely planned to ruined my mother\'s hope of survival.

The love I had for him before turned into so much hate no could ever imagine.

\"Which ward is that girl?\" I said in a difficult tone.

  \"In the VIP room.\"

I turned away finding myself looking for the said room as tears kept streaming on the way. I knew Lester Ye hated me, but he shouldn\'t have broken my mother\'s hope of survival with his own hands.

I don\'t know how I got outside this ward. I stood at the door and hesitated for a while and heard a familiar voice from inside, \"Have a good rest and I will see you tomorrow.\"

Lester Ye... really? They are related just so he took the initiative and gave my blood to this person.

She alive…isn\'t it supposed to be my mother instead?

Thinking of this, I became so furious and opened the door with a snap.

The two people in the ward were obviously stunned and looked at me together.

I was shocked when I saw the lady he was with which made me laugh. Laughing to the utmost grief, crying while laughing...

I laughed at myself realizing how stupid I had been…yeah! How could Corrina Mu commit suicide? How could Corrina Mu die? All the answers came out.

After the laughter, I gritted my teeth and cursed, \"Lester Ye, Corrina Mu, you must die...\"

When Corrina Mu heard my voice, she trembled all over and fluttered into his arms.

  \"She... who is she?\"

  \"Insignificant one.\"

Me? Unimportant? How could he say that? My head nodding and crying at the same time, \"What a game! You won...\"

I turned around and struggling with my steps, left the room with a heavy heart.

Because of so much blood drawn from me, I was feeling dizzy. I stumbled on the hallway in a daze, confused and having nowhere to go.
