~•~I pushed his hand and got away from his grip.“Are you out of your mind?” I blurted. “What is wrong with you?” At that point, I didn’t care if he was Vito or not. He was clearly harassing me.His men had already started beating the innocent man I was dancing with. I was confused because they didn’t have any reason to create a scene because of me.“Who are you speaking to this way?” He barked at me.“I thought you only wanted me to work for you? How does my personal life concern you? And how did you even find me? Are you watching me?” I asked him a ton of questions.“Stop interrogating me and come with me.” He dragged me by the hand and walked towards the door. The whole place was already chaotic and everyone stopped to watch because they all feared him and didn’t have the guts to keep on partying with him in the building.“Leave my friend alone.” Ellie stepped in and tried to loosen me from his grip.“Let go, this is none of your business.” He pushed her away from me.Was he okay? It was her business too. With strength I never knew I possessed, I ripped my hand away. He could treat me however he wanted but Ellie was off-limits.“Didn’t you do your complete homework on me? That’s my best friend you’re talking to.” I scowled at him.I’m pretty sure he knew who she was but he just felt he could do anything he wanted because of his power and money. He rubbed his forehead as he stared down at me, his breathing labored for reasons unknown to me. He sighed. “Let’s go to the car and talk.” His voice was calm this time like he was pleading with me.Ellie held me tight but I slowly removed my arm from her grip. “I’ll be back.” I told her, knowing he was only going to create another scene if I didn’t go with him. She was reluctant but she allowed me to.We got the car and as usual, there were three black cars. We got into the middle one.“Start explaining.” I didn’t give him the chance to speak first.“Explaining what?”“Why did you come here and do what you did?”“You work for me, right? I came to get you.”Came to get me? This man was out of his mind. Was that how he treated all the people who worked for him?“Get me to where?” Surprised, I started laughing because I thought it was a joke.“What’s amusing you?” He sounded serious this time. “You didn’t want to risk your identity right? So you’ll move in with me.”He was definitely out of his mind if he thought I would just drop whatever was going on in my life and move in with him. I didn’t even know anything about him aside from the fact that he was a rich mafia boss.“You must be joking. You think I would just drop everything and listen to whatever you say?”“Yes, you would. I know your secret.”I clenched my teeth, holding back my words as I gave him the dirtiest scowl I could muster. I had forgotten about that for a second. His lips curved up in a small smile when he saw that he had won.“So what happens to my family and my friend, I just have to leave them?”“You can choose to bring your son if you wish.” He signaled his driver to start the car. He blew his horn to alert the car in front to start moving.“Why are you driving? I’m still in the car.”“Does it look like I’m blind?” He moved closer to me. “I said I came to pick you up and I’m taking you home right now.”“Home?”“Did I stutter? We’ll go pick up your son later.”“You didn’t even let me say goodbye to my friend, she’ll be worried sick.”“You can text her later.”Was he being serious? I was literally being kidnapped. He didn’t care about my opinion. We just kept on moving until we got to a gate which automatically opened as the cars got close to it.We came down from the car and I was greeted with a modern mansion with all glass buildings and a perfectly manicured lawn. It’s surrounded by palm trees and a beautiful fountain in the center. It exuded wealth, power, and a hint of danger just like the man beside me.He punched in a password and the doors swung open. If I thought the exterior of the house was good, the interior was to die for. It looked like a royal mansion with different famous paintings in the open space. The stairs leading upstairs were made of marble and the luxurious furniture in the other part of the sitting room complemented the white painting of the house.“Take her to her room.” Vito’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts. He instructed one of his men to show me to my room and left before I could even say anything. On our way upstairs, my gaze was focused on the beautiful mansion I had just stepped into. This job wouldn’t be that bad, I thought to myself.“This is your room.” He pointed to a door right after we came up the first stairs. “If you need anything, just call the phone in the room.”“Thanks.” I muttered and walked to the giant wooden door.I opened the door, the room was as magnificent as all the other parts of the house I had seen. It had a king-sized bed and also had a nice view. I could see the beautifully curated gardens from the room.I remembered nobody else knew I was there and quickly snapped back to reality. I brought out my phone from my purse to text Ellie but I saw lots of calls from her that I missed because my phone was on silent.I quickly called her and she picked up after the first ring. She must have been worried sick.“Where are you, girl?” She sounded so worried. I would be too if I were in her shoes because I promised I was going to come back and never did.“It’s a long story. He took me to his house.”“What do you mean?”“He said since I wanted to be anonymous, I had to stay at his house so I would be safe.” I sighed. I knew I couldn’t win against him. If I ran away, he’d just find me again.“Is that a good thing? So what about your life here? And Liam?”“I’m still confused, he said I could pick up Liam later.” I collapsed into the bed, it felt like marshmallows. It was so comfortable.“Okay girl, we will figure whatever this is later in the morning, you should get some rest now. I’m fully convinced this man is secretly in love with you.” She teased me.“Don’t start please.” A smile crossed my face.“Yeah right, he just wants to protect you when you didn’t ask him for protection.”“He only needs my skills.”“Okay babes, goodnight and stay calm.” She blew me a kiss from the phone.“Goodnight, I love you.” I ended the call. What would I do without Ellie? She was the most supportive person in my life. I couldn’t even imagine how I would live my life without her, so I decided I was going to tell Vito that the plan of me moving in with him couldn’t work in the morning.I needed to freshen up so I went to the shower, then I figured I didn’t have any clothes. There were bathrobes and towels in the bathroom so I made do with that. After I was done showering, I called with the telephone they left for me in the room and requested for clothes.“We can’t provide that tonight, the boss says we’ll get you new clothes tomorrow.” I heard a manly voice respond to me from the other side of the line and abruptly ended the call.So they didn’t think it through when they were kidnapping me. I slumped on the bed and didn’t know when I slept off. The next thing I saw when I opened my eyes was Vito standing in my room and staring at me. How long has he been here and what was he doing here?Nessa Sims ~•~ I hurriedly went to the car without even changing back to my normal clothes because the twins convinced me to leave as soon as possible. I just removed the black heels and changed into the slides I had on earlier. We all rushed to the car and I started driving to the location Ellie had sent to me. On the way there, I tried calling her severally to check up on her but there was no answer. I silently prayed she wasn’t in serious danger. We finally got to the place and it was a restaurant. Maybe she was just drunk and had done something stupid. I pulled into the driveway and hurriedly parked the car. As I stepped out, I noticed I had been there before. It was the Rezdora restaurant where Vito and I had our first date. ‘Weird.’ I thought to myself and went to the entrance with the girls. Was she with a man? And how come everyone needed my help today? I shoved my thoughts aside and focused on saving Ellie. As the twins and I walked into the restaurant, we were greete
Nessa Sims ~•~I’d been curious the whole day because Vito said he had a surprise for me but refused to tell me what it was even when I spent almost an hour begging him to tell me. I couldn’t think of what it would be but I knew it was going to be good. I had to go pick up Liam for school, so I was getting ready for that. The twins had gone to NYU with Vito to make some preparations for when they would resume. They barely had two weeks before they were going to start school. It was just Tommy, Tremani, and me in the house. I grabbed my car keys and headed downstairs. On my way out, I ran into Tremani who couldn’t stop smiling as he saw me. “Hey, how are you doing?” I asked, giving him a sly grin. “I’m good, you’re heading out.” He pointed out, trying to keep a straight face. “Yes, I’m going to pick Liam up,” I replied. “I’ll see you later.” I gave him a suspicious look and walked out the door. I knew he was up to something but I couldn’t quite figure out what. It definitely ha
Nessa Sims ~•~I had been restless the past few days because I was dealing with Liam and the court case. Liam had to move in with me for a while because the judge was going to visit me in order to make his decision. Liam also spent a day with Benjamin which he later described as the worst day of his life. Nothing bad happened but he made it obvious that he wasn’t comfortable with his father. He didn’t want to go at first but I pleaded with him as I dropped him off. After everything, we finally went to the court for the final hearing. Liam was present this time and both lawyers continued their arguments from where they had stopped the last time. Some hours later, the judge finally said he had come to a conclusion. I kept my fingers crossed, waiting to hear his final verdict. His next words were going to have a huge impact on the rest of my life. "After careful consideration, I have come to a decision," he said, his voice solemn. "The ruling I make will be in the best interests of
Vito Giancana ~•~I froze for a moment as I heard Palma say she saw Alessandro and Matteo. They were meant to be dead, I burnt those sons of a bitch alive. I watched the building burn. Or did they find a way to escape? It made a little sense because I didn’t see their dead body. Anyone could have easily found a way to escape. I didn’t think about it back then. I would have shot them in the head and watched their lifeless body fall to the ground. “Are you sure you saw them?” I asked Palma with a serious look on my face. She looked so excited talking about them. If only she knew what they had done to our father. Thomas who wasn’t present in the living room earlier came in and answered with a worried look on his face. “Yes, one hundred percent sure.” I had told him about what I had done to the brothers and he was fully aware they took the life of my father. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. The thought of them still being alive and walking on the streets didn’t sit
Nessa Sims~•~“You’ll be okay.” Vito gently squeezed my hands as we walked into the courthouse. It was finally the day of Liam’s custody hearing. My mum was going to join us later. It was very unnecessary to be going through all that stuff because Liam was okay where he was. With everything going on, I couldn’t help but think they would bash me for leaving my son with my mum. Some would say I abandoned him because I couldn’t take care of him.Benjamin, on the other hand, wasn’t in any position to be with Liam either. He just came out of prison and didn’t have the financial capacity to take care of Liam. At least, that was what I thought. I shoved away my thoughts and made my way to one of the seats. Some people were already seated. My eyes met Benjamin’s eyes who was sitting with some members of his family at the other side of the room. I cast him an angry, dirty look before averting my gaze back to the judge who had arrived. I’d never actually been to a court before, so apart fro
Nessa Sims ~•~The next time I opened my eyes, I saw myself in Vito’s room. I rubbed my eyes to see clearly and I found that Vito was already sitting on the bed. “Look who’s finally up.” He turned to me when I tapped his back. “How long did I sleep for?” I asked. I had no idea if it was still the same day. “What were you thinking? Taking alcohol?” He ignored my question and asked. “Don’t blame me, I needed it.” My head was hurting but I felt a little bit better. “Is it a new day?” I asked again. “Yes, you were passed out the whole night.” He placed his hands on my head, trying to feel my temperature. He picked up a glass from the side drawer and gave it to me. “What’s this?” I asked, slowly taking the glass from him. “It’ll help with your hangover,” he responded. “Have a drink.” He said and went back to his phone. I sat up and looked at the green substance inside the cup and almost puked but I had to drink it if I wanted to feel better. I closed my eyes and gulped down the co
