Avalon took his hands off her shoulders and looked into her eyes deeply. How was he to let her know that he was already feeling something for her? That would probably scare her off. He rubbed his palms together.

"Is that what you are scared of?" He asked and forced a giggle out of his mouth. "You have nothing to worry about."

Jennifer said nothing. She just looked at him.

"Nothing like that will happen," he said. "Okay?"

The truth was, Avalon had formed a code part of her life. When she was downcast by the frustration of her life, it was only Avalon who stood strongly by her side. He even defended her in front of those two traitors that stabbed her in the back.

"If you say so, it's okay," she replied. "Let's set the rules and regulations for this arrangement."
