~A Few Days Later
It’s the end of another long and hard day of working on the ranch. I was waiting at the bus stop in my truck for the kids to arrive home. I was texting Amber as she talked about a new guy in town that was single. Apparently, she was interested in him and I told her to go for it. She had nothing to lose.
The bus came up and stopped in front of my truck. I watched as Ivy and Jacob stepped off and ran up to my truck. They climbed in as the bus left to go drop off the other kids it had.

Cat~Saturday NightI was so happy that the weekend was here. It was rodeo time here in Baker, and I wanted to take the kids out to watch the events and have a good time. All of us worked hard to finish up our daily chores early so we could get ready to go out.After our chores were done, we all cleaned up and put on nice clothes. The kids had on nice blue jeans and button-up shirts. Jacob had on his black felt cowboy hat and boots. I braided Ivy’s long black hair and put a bow in it. OwenMy date tonight with Cat was amazing. She looked beautiful in her tight blue jeans and her white lace and satin tank top. I could stare at her for a lifetime and never be disappointed.During dinner, the oddest thing happened.
