Owen My Beta, Preston, and I had gone to the feed store this morning in search of Cat Wolfe, the woman that owned the three hundred acre property below ours. All ranches needed feed so if I was lucky we would catch her here in town this morning. Cat    The next morning, I was up before everyone and getting breakfast made. The coffee was made and I had already made my cup. I had the toast done with the eggs and the bacon was finishing when Hank walked in, followed by Preston and Owen. Cat    I finished planting several rows of seeds before it was time for lunch. I went inside and washed my hands of dirt before making sandwiches for everyone. Cat ~A Few Days Later    It’s the end of another long and hard day of working on the ranch. I was waiting at the bus stop in my truck for the kids to arrive home. I was texting Amber as she talked about a new guy in town that was single. Apparently, she was interested in him and I told her to go for it. Cat~Saturday Night   I was so happy that the weekend was here. It was rodeo time here in Baker, and I wanted to take the kids out to watch the events and have a good time. All of us worked hard to finish up our daily chores early so we could get ready to go out.   After our chores were done, we all cleaned up and put on nice clothes. The kids had on nice blue jeans and button-up shirts. Jacob had on his black felt cowboy hat and boots. I braided Ivy’s long black hair and put a bow in it. She pulled on her boots and a thin jacket that made her look like a little Native American kid. I had on a black dress that ended right at my knees. It was satin with a lace layer over it and I paired it with my fancy boots I only wore out and a denim jacket.
