Chapter 67

“Monique Xander!” Cindy lifted her head in shock as she stared at an enraged Monique for quite some time, unable to react.

She had just lifted her head when she heard someone calling her name and was immediately splashed with coffee. The brown liquid flowed down her face onto her blue uniform, destroying her makeup and soiling her clothes along with it.

Her ruined makeup made her look like a ghost.

She glared at Monique furiously. She then glanced at her colleagues and something struck her. Suddenly, her eyes turned red and watery. Her tears filled her eyes, on the verge of falling. She pretended to be confused and asked weakly, “Monique, what are you doing? We can talk this out. Why did you throw your drink at me?”

Monique watched Cindy’s Oscar-worthy act speechlessly as she transformed into a sobbing, pitiful mess.

A guy who was rather close to Cindy stepped out and defended her, “That’s right; you shouldn’t do that.”

“Did you know that she added heaps of salt into my coffee?”
