I was supposed to be married to the second son of the Williams family. My parents sold me off to them in turn for a business deal.

But the second son, Frederick, wasn't interested in marriage, neither was he interested in marrying me, the not so beautiful daughter.

So we settled it. He convinced his parents into accepting my parents’ offer for a deal, while he and I got our freedom from any kind of marriage.

“I wonder what they are up to now?” I asked myself as I dressed up.

I hadn't informed Darren yet about the impromptu call from my dad. The way he reacted last night was strange.

It occured to me that had it been he didn't resist and hesitate, we would have kissed…and I didn't want that to have happened.

Yes, I like Darren, but not enough to kiss him. I wasn't in the right frame of mind yesterday.

I touched my forehead were he kissed me last night and I felt weak.
