Third POV

Silence reigned in the hall as Daniel spoke while exuding so much confidence. His speech was short, and he continued glancing over at Regina until he quickly rounded up his speech and made his way down.

“I really appreciate everyone for coming. I'd love to make a toast to everyone here. To our new partnership and project. Cheers!” Mr. Williams said, lifting his glass of wine in the air, and everyone raised theirs as well.

Daniel kept his gaze at Regina and breathed in relief when he was close enough to where she stood, but someone suddenly called him out.

“Daniel, it's great to know that you were able to come here. Oh, and I thought that your brother would come as well, but I guess he is really busy,” the man said and passed him an amicable smile.

Daniel frowned, sensing how informally the man was addressing him. Not everybody called him Daniel without putting any form of respect. Even his wife barely calls his name, sometimes he wondered if she actually knew his name or d
