Evan and Beverly gazed at each other from afar. He stared at her deeply for a few seconds, his gaze gentle.

Only after seeing a maid lean close to whisper something to Beverly and noticing something flicker in the latter's eyes did Evan finally leave with peace of mind.

However, anxiety gripped him again once he was seated in the back of the Rolls-Royce.

"Assign more bodyguards to protect Beverly," he ordered.

Meanwhile, Beverly dismissed the household staff for the day and watched them depart cheerfully. Yet, the bodyguards stayed stationed outside her door.

Her expression remained calm as she closed the door and changed her clothes.

When she came downstairs, the law firm's private courier had arrived. She signed the agreement to transfer her shares to a charitable foundation, updated the list of supervising attorneys, and sent the man on his way.
