"What did you say?" Beverly's voice was so weak that it was barely audible.

Christina took the medical report, looking surprised. "The hCG levels here are clearly above the pregnancy threshold. Evan, based on the data alone, Beverly is pregnant."

Heather's only true dissatisfaction with Beverly was her difficulty conceiving. She'd always wanted Beverly to have another child. Over the years, Beverly had also done everything she could to make it happen. Now, her wish had finally come true.
