"Is that true, Mr. Gray?" one of the officers asked.

As one of the most powerful tycoons in Alterra, Evan was often featured on the front pages of major business publications as well as in interviews. His reputation for being devoted to his wife also preceded him. So, the officer recognized him immediately.

Gerard and Quinn both craned their necks, looking at Evan expectantly.

"Mr. Gray, I know that Bev is your wife, but you shouldn't hide the truth. She's a vicious woman who harmed her own half-sister just because of a decades-old dispute between her mother and me. You can't protect someone like her. Cindy and her unborn child are still hanging on by a thread…"
