He catches a familiar scent on you, that of his king. He looks around in the dark and then back at you. “Have you no respect for your new king? Do you dare show up smelling like you do? Dressed like you are?”
"I'm not dressed," you respond sarcastically, making everyone turn their heads toward the darkness as a chuckle comes from that direction.
'Did the king just laugh at my joke,' you think, wondering if he would kill you if he knew you are his fated mate. You felt your body react just at the thought of him inside you again.
“Everyone must leave Alpha Chase and join me as your Alpha King,” comes the voice from the darkness.
'Don’t. This is another trick. If the two of us join him, he'll know immediately who we are,' your mother warns.
'What about dad?' You mind link her.
'He is not your biological father. Do you know your favorite bedtime story when you were a child?’ your mother mind link.
‘The previous king was my father?’ you ask, losing your complexion.
“This one looks sick,” one of the many female rogues points out, studying you.
“She had a rough day,” your mother steps forward. "Please let me take her home."
Out of nowhere, the King jumps forward and had your mother by her throat with one hand, and you with his other. "Why didn't you two accept my invitation?"
“Kill their Alpha,” he orders.
You clutch at his hand around your throat and choked. "No."
Some of the group members scream in terror as Alpha Chase lost his head.
“Mom,” you call out to your mother for answers.
'We have to fight him and run away. We're better off rogues,' she mind links and raises her legs to kick him, but then he let her go and lets her fall to the ground.
“Mine,” you heard him say as he throws you over his shoulders and walks away with you.
‘Try running and I'll kill a random person,’ the king's mind links everyone at once.
“I can walk,” you protest. Your body against his warm body, your femininity so close to his nose, arouses him.
For a moment you think he is taking you to the dungeons, but then your back feels the satin of a bed after he threw you on it, his body following.
“Mine,” he says again, sending shivers of pleasure through your body.
'Run,' you hear your mother in your head as the rogues drag her and your father away.
"Where are you taking my parents?" you demand to know as the king licked your skin.
“A royal family in hiding. Who are you?" he asks, searching your mind for answers but coming up empty.
“I just found out. They are not my biological parents,” you moan as he mouths a nipple.
"Mmm," he moans as he releases your stiff nipple.
“I can still smell your virgin blood,” he says, his lips against yours.
“If your rogues hurt my parents, I will hate you forever,” you warn him.
He muffles your words with his mouth and kisses you, devouring your mouth.
'Did you keep your virginity for me?' you hear him in your head and felt his fingers run down your body.
‘Not you specifically,’ you reply.
He releases you from the kiss. "Lie to me again and someone will die."
"Does someone always have to die with you, mafia?" you ask, trying to push him off you.
Before you could get off the bed, he grabs your wrist and put your palm to his mouth. "Where do you think you're going?"
“I want to see my parents,” you say, trying to pull away from him.
“Join my pack and I promise no harm will come to them,” he says, landing a kiss on your palm and another on your arm as he pulls you closer to him again. Even though his grip is powerful, his kisses are not.
"You just killed our Alpha!" you cry out, wishing you could escape him as your body fails you. His mouth reaches your neck.
"Claim me," he whispers into your neck where he is supposed to claim you, ignoring your protests.
‘Why does he want me to claim him first?’ you wonder, forgetting he is connected to your mind.
He let go of you and climbs off the bed. He stood before you for a long second. You watch as he took off his tailored jacket and walked over to a chair and hung it over. He turns back to you as he unbuttons his shirt, his eyes on your naked body. Your eyes follow his fingers as he unbuttons his classic shirt, button by button, revealing more and more of him.
In just his pants, he took off his shoes.
'Honey, if you can, run. Don't worry about me and your father. Once you are gone, I will save father,' you hear your mother in your head and so did he, but you are not aware of it.
His sudden movement startles you. With one leap toward you, he takes off his belt and ties you to the bed. “Tell your mother if she advises you one more time she'll regret it,” he warns you, his hot breath against your ear making you arch your body against his bare chest.
The side of his mouth turns up into a smile as he realizes you aren't going anywhere. You feel the belt loosen as he pulls it away from your wrist that was just tied. He strokes it over your chest, wondering what kind of lover you will be.
You get hold of the edge of the belt and pull it toward you until his body press against yours again. You let go of the belt as you block the world out but him. Your hands find the fastening of his pants and you undo them, feeling his erection press against your body.
Any other woman would have wondered what to do with all that erection, but because your mind is connected to his, you knew exactly what he wants you to do.
With his pants half off and his jocks still on, he presses his erection against you, making you moan, wrapping your arms around his muscular back and sliding them down to grab his behind before digging your nails in. "Mine," the words escape you.
"Are you sure you want this monster?" you hear him ask, making you wonder what kind of monster your fated mate is.
“Brace yourself,” you hear him say before he part shifts into half wolf half man like a werewolf. The pain shocks your core as his teeth pierce the skin of your collarbone. You cry out in pain as you feel his teeth hit the bone and just as you thought you could take the pain any longer, you feel him transform back into his human form and enter you. "Mine. Mine." He repeats with each thrust, his eyes on yours, all teary with pain. Pain that was soon forgotten as he brings you to climax. You are lost in his bright eyes.
He is still deep inside you as he takes a hand full of your hair and force your face into his neck. "Claim me."
You were about to leave the hall, your mind swirling with what had just transpired, when the heavy doors suddenly swung open. The sound of boots hitting the stone floor echoed as Elle was dragged in, her body fighting the handlers every step of the way. Her arms flailed, her legs kicking out in a desperate attempt to break free. You could hear her sharp breaths and the sounds of her struggles, the chaos of her fury cutting through the tension in the room."Let her go!" you demanded, your voice carrying the authority only royalty can wield. The handlers hesitated, caught off guard by the power in your tone. Against their will, they released Elle, stepping back reluctantly as she stood, now free to stand on her own two feet.Elle glared at them but didn’t hesitate. Her expression was a mixture of defiance and fury, and without a word, she stomped directly toward the Lycan King. Her steps were firm, unwavering, as she faced the man who held her fate in his hands. You joined her at her si
You stand up, the urgency of your thoughts pushing you into motion. The weight of the decision, the need to be sure Elle is safe, weighs heavily on your chest. "We can leave after Elle returns," you say, your voice steady but the worry still evident in your eyes. "I need to be sure she’s going to be okay."You move toward the door, your hand resting on the handle as you prepare to face whatever awaits you outside. You’re going to plead with the Lycan King, no matter how dangerous it may be. Elle deserves a chance, deserves to have her fate in her own hands. You won’t let the world crush her under the weight of its expectations."Where are you going?" Davide’s voice stops you mid-step, his tone laced with curiosity and something else—amusement? You turn to face him, meeting his gaze with determination. "I’m going to go plead with the Lycan King to pardon Elle’s behaviour. He must realise that she wouldn’t have run away if it wasn’t for the stupid Vampire King."At the mention of Michael
You sit on the edge of your bed, your gaze distant, staring at the stone wall as though it might offer some comfort or answer. The weight of your thoughts presses down on you—thoughts of Elle, of her safety, of her fate. You hope she’s somewhere far from this madness, that she’s found a way to escape this life that’s been thrust upon her, a life you know all too well. You wish she could be free, free from the chains of royalty, from the expectations, from the constant battles for power. But deep down, you know the truth—she can’t escape it. Not without risking everything. Not without drawing the attention of forces that would crush her.And yet, you cling to that hope, that small spark of possibility that she might find a way out. You want so badly for her to live a life outside of this world of lies, manipulation, and bloodshed. But that wish, that dream, feels selfish. You don’t know if you’d survive it if something happened to her. The thought gnaws at your insides, making it harder
Elle’s steps faltered as she turned toward the hallway, her mind set on finding a way out, a way to fight back. But before she could take another step, a firm grip seized her arm, pulling her back with a force that nearly sent her crashing to the ground. Her breath caught in her throat as she spun around to face Jude’s father, his face twisted with a mixture of regret and resolve. “You can’t leave, Elle,” he said, his voice low and controlled, but there was an underlying urgency to his words.“What the hell are you doing?” Elle snarled, struggling against his hold. Her pulse raced, her mind spinning as her fury grew. “Let me go. I’m not staying here. I’m not waiting for the Higher Council to come and take me!”Jude’s father’s grip tightened. “You don’t understand. If you leave now, they’ll find you. They’ll use you against us. We can’t let that happen. I’m doing this to protect you... and us.”Elle’s heart skipped a beat as he pulled her toward the back of the house, away from the fron
Her sharp eyes scanned the trees beyond the cove, searching for the source of her unease. The scent of something foreign lingered in the salty air—something predatory.Jude’s smile faltered. "Elle, what’s wrong?"Before she could answer, a shadow moved.A figure emerged from the tree line—a man, tall and unnervingly still. His golden eyes gleamed with eerie intent, his presence radiating a silent threat. A hybrid.Elle’s breath caught in her throat. The assassin had found them.Jude noticed the change in her expression and turned, following her gaze. The moment he locked eyes with the intruder, realization struck. "Run," he whispered. But it was already too late. The hybrid tracker lunged, moving with inhuman speed.Elle reacted on instinct, shoving Jude back as she braced herself for the fight of her life. The battle was brutal. Elle and Jude fought together, but even with their combined strength, they were no match for the hybrid. He was faster, stronger, and relentless. Every blow E
The shadows stretched long across the floor of Michael’s chamber, the heavy silence punctuated only by the sound of his own steady breathing. His hands curled into fists as he moved toward the far side of the room, where an ornate wooden wardrobe stood against the stone wall. He had known this room well before it was his—it had belonged to his brother, and his brother had been cunning, always keeping a way out, a path unseen. Michael placed his palm against the side of the wardrobe, feeling for the hidden seam. With a slight push, the back panel groaned, revealing a narrow passageway that led into the dark. He took a step forward—but stopped. Something unseen and unfathomable coiled around his body, anchoring him in place. His fangs bared instinctively, his power rising to meet the force that held him back. A spell. His mind worked quickly, fingers tracing over the air as he called on his own magic, whispering an incantation under his breath to dismantle whatever bound him. But i
