Chapter 7

Angela left the house at the same time she usually did, and she was considered a fairly early riser. Yet, when she arrived at City Hall, Julian was already there waiting for her.

It was still early in the morning. The tree branches cast shadowy streaks across his face. For a moment, it looked as though his face lit up with a joyous smile.

Turning toward Angela, he held out his hand and said, "Come on. Let's head inside."

"Boss, perhaps you're unfamiliar with the procedure," Angela reminded rather awkwardly. "We'll need to get a queue number first and wait our turn before we can register the marriage…"

However, Julian said, "I know. I did that already."

He pulled out the queue ticket he had carefully kept in his pocket and revealed that they were the first in line.

Startled, Angela asked, "Just how early did you arrive?"

Although it was a weekday, this was the season for weddings. Many couples who wanted to get married also chose to register their marriage during this time. There
