Chapter 2

"You don't have to waste your airtime." Alisha said as she stepped inside Zhang's room.

Zhang and Piaf were both lying on his bed and Piaf head was placed on his chest.

Alisha tried to control herself from crying. She wasn't ready to break down in front of them. Most especially Piaf.

"You can tell me right now." Alisha added.

"What the...?" Zhang said as he quickly jumped out of his bed shockingly while Piaf blinked her eyes countless of time to confirm what was happening in front of her eyes whether it was real or a dream.

"Alish..." She called slowly as she sat up and wrapped the blanket around herself.

"I'm waiting for you to tell me." Alisha said.

"Alisha, it's not what you're thinking." Zhang said as he was hurriedly putting on his boxer.

"It's what you're thinking" Piaf who Alisha had no idea that she had gotten out of the bed said. "Zhang doesn't love you."

Alisha slowly turned her head and looked at Piaf's direction before saying. "I thought you were my friend."

"I was until you stole Zhang away from me."

"You never showed any interest in him. Looking at you disgust me." Alisha spat out.

"Zhang is mine. And it better you get that straight."

Alisha's heart somersaulted when she heard this and she felt like slapping herself in order to wake up from this bad dream. But she was hundred percent sure that she wasn't dreaming.

"Zhang." she called slowly while praying in the corner of her heart to be the chosen one. For some reasons, she didn't want to lose to Piaf.

"Alisha..." Zhang also called. He couldn't even maintain eye contact.

"Zhang please choose me" she pleaded as she slowly walked towards him. She was desperate and she had no idea when hot tears started running down her cheeks. This time around, she didn't wipe it away. She wanted Zhang to see how much she loved him. How much he meant to her.

When she got to where Zhang was standing, she slowly took his right hand in her hands and caressed it.

"Zhang, please."

Zhang looked at her hands that were caressing his before looking at Piaf that was still standing at the other side of the bed.

"Zhang." Alisha called.

Zhang slowly took his hand out of Alisha's hand and said "I'm sorry Alisha. I'm really sorry. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me."

That was the last thing Alisha remembered. She had no idea when and how she had walked out of his apartment or what had transpired between the three of them before she left.

Few hours later, when Alisha came back to her senses, she found herself standing on a beach.

"I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me" Zhang's words started echoing in her brain and when she could no longer take it in, she had screamed bitterly into the darkness until her throat hurt.

"There is no reason to live anymore. I'm not going to live the same life that my mom was damned with. I will rather die than to live a sorrowful life." she thought as she brought out the small box that contained two engagement rings. She had even had the rings customized with the thought that she was going to propose to Kim Zhang this evening. If only she had listened to Mindy.

Mindy had been against her relationship with Zhang since the beginning. If only she had listened to her. She thought as she unconsciously bit her tongue and felt metal.

She brought out her phone and dialled Mindy's number but it wasn't reachable. So she had texted her instead.

"I'm sorry for not listening to you. Now I know what kind of a man Zhang is. Help me to tell my mom that I love her. I will never forgive Piaf."

She deliberated for almost five minutes before pressing the send button and after sending the message, she opened the small box and caressed the rings for few seconds with tears in her eyes.

"I hate you Zhang!!" She screamed as she threw the small box into the water followed by her phone. And after throwing both inside the water, she also walked into the water and didn't stop walking. Few seconds later, she was fighting for her dear life inside the water.

But unknown to Alisha, few meters away from where she was standing few seconds ago sat a young man who had been watching the whole scene with no interest of interfering but when he saw what the girl's final decision was, he had hurriedly gotten out of his seat and jumped into the water in order to save her

Twenty hours later

Alisha slowly yawned and opened her eyes. She had no idea where she was or what was going on but when she realized that she had being put on a drip, she had sat up on the bed and scanned the room.

This must be heaven. She had thought for a microsecond before she discarded the thought. With her being put on the drip, it couldn't be heaven. She was definitely still breathing.

All of a sudden, the room's door was opened and a very slim, tall guy who was of the same age with her stepped inside the room.

"Oh, you're awake. Thank goodness" the guy said as he walked energetically towards her.

Alisha focused all her attention on the guy's face while he was talking . He had a beautifully shaped almond eyes with well defined jawline, pink pumped lips and a very long nose. His jet black hair was professionally styled. Ever since Alisha had been born, she had never set her eyes on any man that was as handsome as the guy that was standing in front of her and for some seconds, she stopped breathing.

This is definitely the most handsome man on Earth. She thought.

"I was scared, I thought you were going to die" the handsome guy added and that brought Alisha back to the reality.

"Where am I?" She asked without looking at the young man's face because she realized that she might not be able to say anything else if she kept looking at his face.

The guy gave Alisha a self-satisfied smile with his hands spread widely. He was definitely enjoying every seconds of this.

Alisha slowly looked at him under her eyelashes and was taken aback by how beautiful his smile was. She was hundred percent sure that no Top-A model could recreate that smile. The guy's handsomeness was just out of this world from Alisha's point of view.

"My house" the guy replied over confidently.
