Jade woke up with a start due to a noise in her room.

Maria was taking out her clothes from the closet.

"What are you doing!?" She sat up with a yawn.

"Good morning ma'am. I'm cleaning" Maria gave her a little bow.

"What? You think my things are trash or what!? That blouse you're holding costs more than your life!" Jade angrily jumped down the bed and roughly snatched her things away making the poor girl jump in fear.

"And I'll pay for them," Xavier said from behind. Jade quickly turned and saw him standing near her bed.

How didn't she see him there?

"Don't you have the decency to wake me up from sleep before touching my things?" She said to him.

"Next time, wake up early" he answered. Jade looked at her alarm clock. Five minutes past eleven.

"And so what? I don't do anything except sleep, eat and walk around and why the fuck are you taking out my things?" She angrily walked to him.

"I'll replace them with something I like," he simply said.

"I'm the one wearing them, what about what I want?" She tossed the blouse on the bed. He signaled Maria to carry on.

"You have a horrible taste" he said and picked the blouse.

"Do you even know where I got that blouse? It is custom made and personally signed by the brand manager of Prada!" she angrily replied.

"I can get you a more expensive one personally made and signed by Donatella Versace herself" he walked away.

"Get dressed. We're going out" he left.

Jade angrily watched Maria take away all her things. She changed into the last dress she saved.

"Where are we going?" Jade asked the moment she sat in the car beside Xavier.

"You'll see" were the only words he uttered until his driver parked in front of a building.

Jade looked at the dishes lined in front of her.

"Are you hungry?" She squeezed her face.

"No. You didn't eat breakfast or lunch. Bon appetit" He only watched her eat.

"I don't eat these much. All I see are calories. Are you trying to get me fat? This body didn't just happen you know"

"Better, because I'm not a fan of fat"

After some minutes, he took her to a boutique.

"Oh my God! I've been dying to come here!" She exclaimed as she stared at Sark's fifth avenue.

Xavier led her in and a tall slim woman approached them.

"Xavier!" She kissed him on both cheeks.

That was the first time Jade heard anyone address him by his first name.

"Adele" He gave her a courteous smile.

"And who's this fine lady?" Adele hugged Jade to her dismay. "Finally found the one, huh?" She eyed the diamond on Jade's finger.

"What can I say?" He deeply laughed.

"Treat her well" She pointed and led them to a private room. "Unfortunately I can't be with you but I have someone good. Have fun, not too much fun though" Adele kissed him and left.

A brunette walked in wearing a tight short dress.

"At your service" She smiled at the both of them.

Xavier sat and motioned Jade to go with her. "Anything you try on, I wanna see" He smirked.

Jade walked to the dressing room. She tried on a thousand dresses which she found surprisingly beautiful on her.

"I must say, you have a great taste" The lady said, offering Xavier a glass of water as she showcased her breasts in his face.

"Yes I do" He couldn't take his eyes off Jade who was admiring herself in a mirror.

The lady rolled her eyes and walked away. "Okay ma'am. We are done with the dresses" she said.

"Thank heavens! I'm tired! Can we go now?" She turned to him.

"We aren't done yet," He replied.

"But I've been trying different dresses for like an hour now! I wanna go, Xavier!" Jade sighed.

"Just a little more," The woman said.

"This is the last segment, I promise. It's just for you to put on some thongs and panties for me" He smiled watching her expression.

"Thongs? No!" She shook her head.

"There's nothing to be shy about ma'am. You are gonna get married anyway" The brunette chirped in.

"Shut up!" She walked to Xavier. "You didn't tell me this was part of it! I came here for the new dresses"

"And what are you going to wear under those dresses? Unless you want to be naked because I threw out all your undies too" He casually said.

Jade had to control her next words because of the innocent lady in the room.

"Like she said, we are getting married. Don't be so shy"

Jade angrily followed her.

"C'mon Jade!" She heard his voice. She couldn't decide whether or not to step out. If he sees her like this, it'll be another step towards letting him completely in.

But she wanted to see the look in his eyes.

Will he love her body or hate it?

At that moment, Jade wished she was a model.

She sheepishly walked out almost on jelly legs. She didn't want to see the look on his face so she looked away.

"I like this," he finally said. Jade stared at herself in the mirror and back at him. He had a satisfactory smile as he intensely traced the peach bra that tightly cupped her breasts down her body and finally the panties tied on both sides of her slim waist.

Her thighs were fresh and hips curvy.

"Next"

He likes her body. The way he stared at her body told her everything.

After multiple tries, Jade finally felt comfortable enough around him.

"Just one more"

"This is the last one" she stepped out and he couldn't take his eyes off her. The little triangle disappeared in between her legs and the thin straps lined on her waist perfectly. The bra hardly covered her breasts because the little triangles on them only covered her nipple.

"Turn around" he commanded and she did.

Her ass was bare and she could feel his eyes burning into her butt cheeks.

"This is for our wedding night" He smiled.

Xavier swiped his golden card and took her for shoe shopping.

He also bought her expensive accessories and other things she might need.

At dinner, he handed a phone to her.

"Mine!?" She smiled and quickly took it from him. She thought she'd never be able to have access to the internet or her parents.

"Only dial the numbers on it," he warned.

Jade tapped the screen a couple of times and finally lifted her head with a frown.

"But my parents' line isn't in it" She complained.

"You don't have permission to talk or contact them" he simply said.

"I can't talk to my father and mother? Then what is the use of this phone? Only your line is saved on it" She angrily replied.

Xavier loudly hit his glass on the table. "Should I take it back?"

"No! But what about my friends?"

"You don't have friends anymore. You're only allowed to call me, understand?" He hoarsely asked and she nodded.

"Whatever!" She looked on.

Not only will she be trapped forever, he will make sure he permanently deletes her whole existence and wipe any trace of her.

She needed to act fast.

Khalil hurried down the stairs, his footsteps echoing through the hallway. His servants informed him that Jade was waiting for him. He couldn't believe his eyes when he saw her standing in his foyer, two young boys by her side. For a moment, he thought it was a prank, but the look on his servants' faces told him otherwise. They knew better than to play tricks on him, especially when it came to someone like Jade. As he descended the stairs, Khalil's eyes locked onto Jade's, and he felt his heart skip a beat. She looked different, yet the same. Her hair was styled differently, and her eyes seemed more tired than he remembered, but the spark in them was still there. The boys standing beside her were the spitting image of Xavier, and Khalil's gut twisted with a mix of emotions. He had thought they were his once, had fought for them, only to discover they weren't. Now, seeing them with Jade, he felt a pang of longing. Khalil stopped a few feet away from Jade, his eyes drinking

The cold metal door creaked as Jade slipped into the small, dimly lit safehouse. Her heart thudded with every step she took. The silence was suffocating. She looked over her shoulder again, just to be sure she wasn’t followed.Raquel stood by the window, her arms folded, her profile lit by the thin strip of daylight sneaking through the blinds. She didn’t turn around.“You shouldn’t have come here,” Raquel said softly.Jade shut the door behind her and leaned against it. “Xavier’s after you.”Raquel chuckled dryly. “I’m aware.”He saw her that night. That night she helped Jade escape.“He thinks you helped me… He’s not going to forgive that, Raquel.”“I don't expect him to.”Xavier will forever be Xavier.Jade stepped further into the room, her voice almost in a whisper. “He doesn’t have the boys. He lied. He was bluffing… and I believed him. Raquel, if he doesn’t have them… where are they?”There was a long pause. Raquel turned, her face calm. Too calm.Jade’s breath caught. That n

The apartment was too quiet. Jade sat at the edge of her sons’ bed, her fingers lightly brushing over a small stuffed bear left behind in the rush of that night. The room still smelled like them, like clean cotton, crayons, and safety. It used to calm her. Now it only reminded her how empty the house felt. Her heart was at war. Was she wrong to try and run? Should she fight harder? Or should she just stay and play nice until she found a safer way out? He had the boys and she wants them back. Without him in their lives. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she blinked them away. No. She wasn’t going to break again. She had already handed in her resignation. Burned every bridge. She was ready to disappear, to take her boys somewhere Xavier would never find them. Somewhere quiet. Somewhere normal. But her plans fell apart the moment she learned Xavier had already taken them. Why would he do this before the week was over? He gave her time! Well, she trie

Jade paused at the threshold of Xavier’s office, the polished mahogany double doors looking like gates to a castle. She swallowed hard, steadying the tremor in her limbs. The room beyond glowed softly under warm lights, rich carpets, heavy draperies, walls lined with old portraits, the imposing desk at center stage. This place had once belonged to her. Now it belonged to him. She stepped forward, shoes whispering across the carpet. Her eyes swept the room, memorizing the place she had tried to leave behind, the throne he now occupied. Each familiar detail stung, the leather chairs, the shelves of books, the desk where many decisions had been made. Her throat felt tight. She's here again. Xavier sat behind the desk, hands folded, his face calm, too calm. He looked up, eyes locking on hers. The quiet flickered between them. “Jade,” he said, voice smooth, “back so soon?” Her chest clenched. She took a breath, trying to steady her voice. “I didn’t come

The house was silent when Jade crept through the hallway, every step measured. The moonlight filtered through narrow windows, painting pale stripes across the carpet. Her heart pounded so hard she feared the walls might hear it. She paused outside her sons’ door. A soft, even rhythm, a lullaby in breathing. Her boys slept, clutching small blankets. She swallowed hard. This was it. Raquel stood behind her, flashlight in hand, face pale but determined. “I checked the guards, the routes. We’re clear for now.” Jade nodded. She pressed a finger to her lips. “Let me just… one more look.” She touched her boys’ cheeks softly, memorizing. She kissed their foreheads. “Mommy’s going to take you somewhere safe. Forever.” They stirred slightly but stayed asleep. Relief flooded her, bitter and sharp. The door to her room was ajar. Light spilled from under. She froze. Footsteps echoed beyond, outside the room. Her body tensed. Raquel touched her arm. “That’s our signal.

She froze. There, in the living room, her boys were on the floor, building a fort with couch pillows. And sitting across from them on the armrest was Xavier, tapping away at his phone like nothing had happened. Her knees almost gave way. He looked up casually, a small smirk pulling at the corners of his mouth. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” he said. Jade didn’t move. Didn’t breathe. Liam saw her and squealed with delight. “Mommy!” Liam ran to her, hugging her legs, pulling on her arm. “Play with us!” Liam said. She knelt, hugging him tightly, her heart aching, relief washing over her in a wave that made her dizzy. But behind that relief… was rage. He’s playing with her. He knew she'd panic. He wanted this. She stood slowly, her eyes locked on him. “You think this is funny?” Xavier raised an eyebrow. “What?” “You told me I had a week.” He stood now, slowly, deliberately. “And you do. I just missed them. Thought I’d take them for the evening. Is that a crime?”
