Staring at the lifeless body of the Overlord made King Darren feel more dread. Even in death, the eerie aura that followed the leader of Skullis still existed.Without making much noise, the men that transported the Overlord from the seated position he was found, covered the dead body and stood aside, awaiting the next set of instructions.A terrible tugging in his chest, Darren took his sight off the Overlord’s body. He looked past the windows and saw how the moon kept shining bright, unaware that some sort of a disaster had befallen the kingdom.Overlord Zamar dying in Zenrada could go wrong in so many ways. “You are back.” Laura’s voice hit King Darren’s ears, and her voice made the throne room feel less lonely. Blinking hard to kill the strain in his eyes which he was certain were bloodshot, his head darted toward his wife who was dressed quite seductively, her short gown jumping while she walked. “You left without saying a word,” she said. When her feet ended up in front of the large couch that was placed behind the Alpha’s throne, her head ducked slightly and she locked gazes with her husband who reached for her hands and quickly pulled them until she was straddling him. He began to caress her milky skin and as he stared into her light-coloured eyes that reminded him of the half-fairy, Darren decided to let go of his search for sleep. Since he arrived at the palace, he had not found sleep. For two days, his eyes only closed, but they never drove him to a blissful state of slumber. “I missed you, Darren.” He heard Laura say while he thanked the heavens that his raging beast was

The face that housed its blazing, pointed orbs showed off pointy teeth that Zara wished to guess had torn the limbs of many men apart. While she scared herself some more with her thoughts, she noticed the length of the creature’s trachea which wore a skin that was a shade lighter and faintly smoother than other parts of its body.Once again, when her gaze fell on the slowly pulsing belly of the beast, she wondered how many bodies its throat had swallowed.Quickly, as the silence grew, Zara’s eyes roamed the short, carved horns of the monstrosity that seriously stared at her, and her mind instantly replayed the voice of the creature which could be likened to having the depth of a raging sea.“Y-you are a… a d-dragon,” Zara stuttered after she swallowed hard and decided to squarely face the surprising sight in front of her. Looking up at the sky to hide the flush on her face, Zara noticed how different daylight in Zenrada was from the nighttime. It was bright and filled with chilly air. With a deep line of scowl on her forehead, Zara wiggled her fingers, eager to see what disaster they would bring upon the audacious men.But before the angry fists of the men could reach her, her feet lifted off the sandy ground within seconds and the unexpected move caused the men to rush their mouths into the depth of the land.
