Chapter Seventeen

The foursome consisted of one adult male named Vernon, who looked to be in his early thirties, two adult females and a small boy.  Imogene was in  her late twenties, and  Oriana was in her early twenties. The smaller than average eight year old boy was named Holden. 

They learned that these forlorn looking people were the last of a group of wanders that had the misfortune of suffering the raiding of their camp by the alien’s cyborgs.  The original group had been around fifty in number. After being unlucky enough to have multiple encounters with the alien cyborgs over the last few years, they were all that was left.

Vernon was married to Imogene and Holden was their son.  Oriana was Imogene’s younger sister.
