Thomas

Before i saw her, i heard her. That belly laugh, genuine and loud, but elegant at the same time, took me by surprise. Never heard anyone laugh like that. It made me and my wolf perk and look around with curiosity. When my eyes landed on her, i gasped. There she was, with one arm wrapped around a boy's shoulders, no older than my son, and the other waving a folder in the air and all around. She was talking very excitedly, her blue eyes sparkled with amusement at something hidden far beyond the autumn sky, only she could see. The boy clearly didn't share her excitement one bit, and was looking at her like she had grown two heads.

I wasn't supposed to be here today. Liam could come on his own for his enrollment. Daniel, or should i say Mr. Harrington as he is the principal, is a member of our pack and knows Liam well. But i wanted to speak to him about Liam's progress in his last year in highschool and his worries about college. And i was so glad for that decision.

I couldn't take my eyes off of her. She was well above her thirties, with a radiant aura and a playfully expressive face. She was a bit chubby, the knee-length dress she was wearing enhancing her rich bosom and fell perfectly on her hips, making her waist look smaller. Amazed by her bouncy stepping, i was late to realise she kept coming closer. She was so focused on talking to her son she never saw us. My son, Liam, grabbed my arm to remove me off her way, but i wouldn't move. And a few seconds later she bumped right into me, her shoulder hitting my chest, her breasts pushing against my bicep, our folders all over the place but i wouldn't care less. Her smell was so intriguing, so unique, i couldn't understand it. So many herbs and flowers, entangled inside my nose, I was completely starstruck by her.

"Oh! I am so terribly sorry!", her cheeks flushed, making my cock twitch. Judging by her white complexion, pink cheeks must be really common for her. That thought made my wolf really happy inside my head. Liam rolled his eyes on me, like every normal teenager. Her son, though, was completely distracted by some birds. What a weird kid...

"Let me get these for you!"

"No, no, no, don't worry about it! Are you ok?", i was glad my voice came out stronger than i thought it would. I crouched on the floor to collect our paperwork and she got down with me. She started apologising but i was more fixated on her cherry lips as they moved. When she introduced herself and extended her hand to me, i took it in my hand in a heartbeat. So delicate, like a flower. She has four kids, she said. I don't see a ring, though. That means she is either divorced or a widow, like me. I needed to find out.

I was beyond excited when she suggested a get-together for the kids. I think Liam would do some good to Percy, maybe introduce him to some of his friends. All of them are werewolves though, and Percy probably wouldn't fit in. But it wouldn't hurt to try, and i would do just about anything to win her over.

My fated mate, Maria, died five years ago in a rogue attack. She was a Gamma warrior and died on duty. I loved her as my fated mate, but i always thought i could do better. She was a fine woman and a powerful she-wolf, and she gave me my beloved son, whom i wouldn't trade for anything in the whole wide world. I mourned her, and of course i was devastated when she died, but i did have my fair share of women after her passing. But none of them compared to the newcomer. Amy. She was not a werewolf but i felt her pull stronger than with the she-wolves.

When she talked she was looking all around her, her eyes drifting all over, taking in all of her surroundings, but when i talked, her eyes were glued to mine, listening carefully every word that came out of my mouth, like her life depended on it. That's a true Alpha quality, even if she has no wolf blood in her.

However, something unexpected happened, which made me wonder if she indeed had some wolf blood in her. She lifted her nose and sniffed the air as i was walking past her, commenting sweetly that we smell like dogs! I turned on the spot, my mouth agape, Liam equally as perplexed as i was! From the mortified look on her face i could tell she had trouble controlling her tongue. That is going to be very interesting.

I tried to comfort her but the truth is i enjoyed watching her struggle to rectify her unintentional slippings of her tongue. Although, it is a huge insult for a werewolf to be called a dog, i couldn't find it in me to be insulted by her words. It was obvious she didn't mean it as a bad thing, her numerous attempts at apologising work as proof of that.

"What was that all about?", Liam asked me as we were walking away. "I thought it was just Percy but his mum is no different." He was shaking his head in disbelief.

"I think they both are very interesting.", i said with a big grin...

I failed to protect my first mate, and now i am causing trouble to my second. The Moon Goddess wanted to give me a second chance and i am failing with flying colours. The truth is i still hate having a witch as a mate. But deep down i think my perspective on it is changing. I don't grow a liking on witches in general, only her. I like her, in spite of her powers. My wolf is anxious, prowling in my head trying to move me. I know what he wants. He was so happy all these hours that Amy spent here.I stand up and run out, towards her house. It's been almost two hours since they came for her, two hours i spent looking at the wall opposite me. As i run, i notice their scent is faint from the house, and, readjusting my position, i catch it again towards the forest. I shift immediately and let my wolf do the rest.I see them finally, very deep in the forest, next to a small stream. She is laid down by the water, her right hand inside the stream, while her left is burried up to the elbow in so

Her next step is unstable. She stumbles and as she falls my wolf is faster than my thoughts. I move quicklly and secure her from falling. She really is unwell. I pick her up bridal style and our eyes lock in place for what feels like an eternity. My wolf is annoyingly cheerful in my head for holding her, at last, so close, and my heartrate has spiked. I set her on the couch and sit beside her, coming to the sad realisation that i actually care about her. I calm myself and ask again."What happened to you? I remember you being fine." "And i will be again. I just need some rest. How are you feeling?" she retorts back, as she raises her hand and caress my cheek. My eyes close involuntarily at her touch and my mind goes quiet for as long as the skin contact remains. She looks like she's been through hell and she's asking about me?"I'm a werewolf, i heal fast." I still hold her back up with my arm, her body feels so foreign to me but so familiar at the same time. I move some strands of h

My breathing becomes deeper at the thought of him naked on me. I realise that my need for him grows with every passing day. To see him, to feel him, even to fight with him. I watch as his chest moves irregularly up and down, troubled sleeping soundly during the recovery. How did i fall so hard? By the time i got to him last night, he was all curled up on the carpet, breathing irregularly with gurgling sounds coming from his chest, whimpering. Blood everywhere outside, started to also pool beneath him. I ran to him, stroking his matted fur and talking to him to calm down. The big beast allowed me full access on his body, in this delirius state he was in. I managed to stop the bleeding with my water magic, after i pulled the knives out. I caught the faint smell of vervein and panicked more. After the bleeding stopped, i conjured some vines from the ground and lifted him up to transfer him to the sofa. But as the vines grabbed him he screamed in pain and shifted. On the bed of the vin

Somewhere in the woods"Did you find her?", the man in the black hood asks, his voice low, filled with malice."I found the house, yes. But she wasn't there." the other man replies, panting. He is dressed casually, but now covered in sweat and dirt."A werewolf spotted me and chased me down. Your traps saved me, or i would be a dead man." He coughs, trying to calm his breathing. "She has a powerful protection spell around the house, though. I couldn't have done anything, even without the wolf." He sweeps his sweat with his sleeve and sits on a fallen log.The hooded man smirks. "Of course she has.""Why do you want her so bad, Gale boss?""Because, Roger, she and her sons are too powerful to live there. My spies tell me he already has them outcasted in the community, the boys have it hard at school. If i can make them turn against Sebastian, the pack is doomed.""You really think she will? Everyone says she is really nice.""She might be. But she is a mother, and her boys are being bu

  • the Alpha's Witch   Chapter 21

I had a hunch, but now is confirmed by the doctor. My wolf is in pain, a different one than that i am in. I am out of breath as i reach my house in wolf form, through the forest. Shifting is always a risk as my wolf takes almost full control, but now he is stressed and not in the mood for anything. I mean, for anything else but to go to her house. But her scent is faint, she is not home yet. The night is well above us by now, so she can't still be at the mall. But why do i care? Her scent may be faint but i catch a different smell close to her house. It's not a werewolf and it's not from the town. My wolf gets super protective and he storms behind her house at once, growling and snapping.I run as fast as i can, sniffing the air constantly to not lose track of them. But as i run i feel a burning pain penetrating my ribs and my wolf yelps as he loses his footing. Three knives are driven in my flesh, up to the hilt. The burning pain is spreading slowly all over my body, and it require

  • the Alpha's Witch   Chapter 20

Suddenly, it hits me. She exposed her magic in front of everyone. For the greater good, sure, but that was reckless. The human population is higher in this town than werewolves and witches combined. Witches... Will they see her as a threat or as an ally against me? She managed in so little time to change the power dynamics of the town and, if her sons are anything like her, i have a big problem in my hands. And humans? They looked amazed by her, they cheered. Were they not afraid? Did they think it was all a trick, maybe? As i bring the memory back, of her extinguishing the fire, her posture, her certainty, her earial moves, my heart flutters. And the apologetic look on her face when she noticed we were all drenched, like a child making an oopsie, makes me giggle a little. And the little becomes a lot, and out of nowhere, i burst out laughing like a lunatic. An angry, gutteral laugh, that makes my eyes water and my chest tighten. And as i calm myself down, i realise i haven't laughed
