Chapter 31

Giselle's POV:It's finally the day of the event. I'm dressed in a skin tight, floor length silky red dress with a slit on my right leg. My hair is left down and I have red lipstick and some mascara on.I looked at myself in the mirror one last time and grabbed my clutch. The air was knocked out of my lungs when I saw Venettio. He was in a navy blue suit and his hair was gelled back. His piercing grey eyes found my green ones and his mouth slightly parted upon seeing me."Dio mio! You look beautiful! No wonder Kaun calls you hottie mama."I blushed and said, "You look handsome too. What are we waiting for? Let's go."He took a hold of my hand and walked us to the car. He opened the passenger door for me and got into the driver's seat.We drove off and after 1 hour, we reached the place. Only me and Tio decided to come.I would've

Chapter 32

Giselle's POV :I went to work and I saw Venettio and Celia together.I went to my office room and there was a sharp jab in my chest. It was painful, but I shoved it aside and started doing my work. My company is doing great. I couldn't be more proud of it.I saw Venettio putting his hand on Celia's shoulder. He was going closer to her and before something happened, I shut my eyes tight. I needed to give them their privacy. Once again, the sharp jab returned.I immediately got up and went to the hospital without looking back.I paid for an appointment with the cardiologist and finally after half an hour of waiting, it was my turn.I went inside and saw a man with a kind smile and balding head."Take a seat Ms. Marcello. I'm Doctor Torpor."I took a seat and he asked me, "I've heard that you've been having some hea

Giselle's POV:He wrapped his arms around my stomach and I was shocked.Suddenly, I felt wetness on my exposed skin. WHAT?!I lifted Venettio's head and saw his glossy red eyes."Are you high?" I asked him in anger."I lost. I'm addicted. It's over."Before I could respond to him, I heard his soft snores. Deciding not to disturb him, I pushed a button on the couch which turned it into a bed. I let him sleep. The next morning, I noticed that Venettio was up before me. I heard him in the kitchen, so I decided to brush my teeth. When I came into the kitchen, I saw Venettio and said, "You have a lot to explain mister."He looked at me with tired eyes and said, "What non sense did I spout?""Something about you losing, some addiction and it's over. You even admitted that you were

Chapter 34

Giselle's POV:I was walking down the altar. There was a man at the end of the altar. A strong, tall, handsome man. Venettio. He looked at me and I smiled a very bright smile. He looked detached. As I reached the end, the wedding music started to play. I wasn't in control of my legs! The church door opened and the bride walked in. She was beautiful with a pure white gown and rosy cheeks.I realized it was Celia! I looked down at my dress which was purple. Was I that drunk that I didn't realize what dress I had put on.When Celia reached Venettio, he took her hands and looked at her with so much love and affection. I didn't know that a person could express so much love. He was looking at her....the same way he used to look at me.As the priest was speaking, I was a sobbing mess. My heart ached so painfully. Finally, they ended the ritual with a pas

Chapter 35

I continuously tapped his cheek so he wouldn't black out.He put his hand on my face and said, "Never forget me. I love you so darn much that it pains. I will always love you."I couldn't form a reply because I was choking on my own tears. His eyes were slowly closing, but at that time, the ambulance arrived and we drove off to the hospital. He was in the ICU for God knows how long. The whole time, I was crying and praying. Then finally, the doctor came out and said, "I'm sorry."My heart stopped beating and I fell to the floor."You must me Venettio Martinez's granddaughter."I was fuming. I slapped the doctor. "I'm here for Venettio Salvestro."He recovered from the slap and

Chapter 36

Giselle's POV:(One month of dating Venettio)I woke up when the bright sun rays hit my face. I groaned and my eyes came in contact with Venettio's chest."Good morning amore.""Good morning." I mumbled and got up. I stumbled a little as my mind was a little clouded. I went to the bathroom and showered.I got dressed and sat down next to Venettio to discuss some matters. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer. I basked in his warmth and sighed."I broke up Blackhearts."He looked at me shocked. "WHAT?"I nodded my head."WHY would you do that?""I know you're my right hand man and it's your job to take shots. But, I can't see you getting hurt because of me. I don't want anymore injuries on you.""That's so generous of you. But, you worked your b

If I was her, I would too. Maybe, I was.She called the doctor in and he checked my head out."Are you okay Ms. Marcello?"I didn't respond to him. He wrote something on a prescription paper and gave it to me."I suggest you meet her. She's a therapist"I looked at the paper and saw that he wrote some doctor's name.Maybe I did need therapy. These constant heartbreaks would be the death of me. I got over Tito, but

Giselle's POV :I looked at her in anger."You let him be part of that mafia?""Giselle, I need you to calm down. There's so much more than what meets the eye. You are jumping to conclusions.""You're on their side now?""Giselle, listen to me carefully. Forget all this mafia stuff. It has nothing to do with you anymore. I'm your therapist. Let's keep it at that. Now, do you trust me?"I sighed. "You're right. Well, I don't trust you completely.""Then keep visiting me until you do.""Got it."______________________________________So I continued visiting her and finally, she gained my trust.I was currently sitting across her."So Tito was the one who brought me to this hospital and he was telling me that he loves me.""Do you love

My heart was breaking piece by piece after seeing his behavior. If there really was another woman instead of me, she would've already been making moves on him.He pointed to the opposite room and said, "That's your room. I'll get clothes for you by tomorrow.""You can't keep me as a prisoner here!""I'll let you go after some days. When I'm sure it's safe to let you go. I run a maf
