Selene’s Confession
ZAIRE “So, what do you say we all go to the diner today? We didn’t get to go last time,” Margery said as we all headed out of school. I was lost in thought and couldn’t really pay attention to what she was saying. “Zaire, are you with us?” Ximena asked, waving her hand in front of me. I shook my head and cleared my throat, trying to hide the fact that I had spaced out. “Yeah, what were you talking about again?” “About going to the diner and having something to eat?” Margery repeated. “I’m sorry. I have other things to do, so I will have to take a raincheck,” I said, giving each of them a hug and walking away, instead of catching a ride with dad. As I was heading towards the road, I could see Leonard and Connor talking by the woods. ‘He looks really handsome, Zaire,’ Louve mentioned, bringing a smile to my face. “He sure does.” As I kept walking, I could hear him call. I stopped and turned around as he approached me before he bent down to take deep b

His Brother
ZAIRE The sound of the owls hooting and the paws of our wolves on the dirt were soothing. Louve and Amoux were enjoying themselves and we just let them be for a bit longer. Ruelle and Lowell were not far behind, and they were enjoying each other’s company as well. We reached a cliff and just sat there, admiring the horizon. The full moon was bright in the sky, and the stars were as beautiful as ever. Amoux stood straight, and let out a big, powerful howl to the moon, followed by the others. It felt so freeing, so… magical. As soon as they all stopped, Louve nuzzled her head against Amoux’s fur, showing how much she was loving his company. His blue eyes glowed as he let out a low growl before licking her snout playfully. He suddenly turned around, growling at the shadows. I wondered what had him feeling so uneasy? Then Lowell did the same, making Ruelle stand behind him. But not Louve, she was next to Amoux, ready to jump into action if needed. My wolf was no

Dinner
CONNOR Alpha Jedrick and Luna Adira led us to the big dining hall and gestured for us to sit down on any chair. The table was so long, it probably fit over forty people at once. I pulled a chair for Zaire and with a sweet smile, she sat down before I helped her push the chair back in. She looked around and I could see how in awe she was of the place. The hall’s decor was more likely from the 18th century and it had its charm and also its mystery. There were paintings of different pack members, royals and warriors alike. They both sat down at the end of the table, and Luna Adira looked at Zaire with a soft gaze and a kind smile. “It makes us happy to have you here for dinner, Zaire. I’m sure you have a lot of questions for us,” she asked. Zaire tensed next to me as I sat down, grabbing her hand to squeeze it in reassurance. “It’s okay,” I whispered. She took a deep breath and smiled back at Luna Adira, taking a deep breath before she spoke. “The only thing I w

School Attack
ZAIRE     Margery never made it back to school after she left the classroom. Ximena was not able to get anything out of her except that she needed fresh air, and I was concerned. It was lunch hour, I picked up my food tray and sat down on my usual spot in the cafeteria.

Guilt
CONNOR    Louve was inside the clinic, trying to heal from the attack earlier. Every nurse and doctor were at her disposal and even my mom offered to help them. I was outside of the room, pacing back and forth. The pack maids offered me food, but I had lost my appetite.
