 “So, when do you think they will be born?” he asked later as they had fallen silent again. He had so many things floating around in his brain. He had to get a grasp on a few before he could focus on others.“Well, if things go right, Simon will try to get them as far as thirty-six weeks.   As the pair walked out of her house and she turned to lock the door. He stopped and looked at the sky. The sun was shining and was brighter than normal. He hoped it was a sign of some good things to come. When she joined him in the front, she looked at him. “I think since we drove in your car yesterday, I will be the one driving today.” He said as he walked around to the passenger side and opened the door and bowed as she moved passed him. “Your chariot awaits, my dear.”“I have I told that you are weird?” she asked as she sat down and put the seat belt on.

  They saw Kyle, who was looking over a file in front of him when they walked in. he looked up and smiled at the sight of the pair. Kit had to wonder what it was about everyone looking at them like they were a thing. It was simply two friends helping each other out. She had to keep telling herself that otherwise, the way everyone else was looking at them would get to her as well. That was something she could do right now.  The parking lot was completely full, and the news cameras and trucks were still parked on the street as they got to the facility. They both had to look around and see everything that was going on. It was total chaos with all the activity. The police were there looking at everyone, including the detective who they had talked to the night before. He looked at the two of them and nodded as he told the person standing at the door, they were free to go in.  Kit looked up to Mitsuhide’s face after he said that, and she was confused with his words. He wanted nothing more than to hold her close, though.  As Mitsuhide and Simon walked out of the room together to go start the paperwork of having June moved to another place. Kit walked around the room and was judging what was June’s in the first place and what they needed to pack it up. She glanced to the woman who was on the bed.“You know June, your brother is something else. I know more about him now because of you. I can only imagine how it must have been for you as his sister.” Kit said softly. “We have been friends for a few years, and I learned more about him in the past two days than in those years.  Mitsuhide watched Kit over the next few days as they settled June into the sleep study center and made her semi-permanent room more like a real room for someone who was at the sleep center to rest instead of why she was there. Kit was the one who was making sure everything was in place for his sister in a way that he didn’t know how too. He was in awe of her every time he watched her handle some of the major hurdles that were put in their way. He was coming to grips that he was ousted as his sister’s primary caregiver, and he was okay with all of that.  He ignored her comment and tried to make the rest of the baby shower memorable not only for her but everyone who was around her with his reaction to her. She was used to being the one on the sidelines and not in the true spotlight. He watched her cousin receive all the attention because of her state, and he wanted that for Kit as well and the twins.  He wanted her to have something like this where they celebrated the twins.  “I think we should get the twins used to our voices.” Kit said as they settled into the couch at her house.“How do you purpose we do that?” he asked as he moved his head to glance at her.“I think we should make like a recording of us talking into a cheap mp3 player or something like that and have headphones play them for the babies on repeat.  Things moved forward like it was supposed to. June began to pass every goal that was made for her as everything was going normal as could be for her situation. Now at twenty-seven weeks, everyone was keeping their fingers crossed that they could push her for another few weeks along. The twins were doing well, as well. They were meeting the goals set for them. They both were still measuring about the same and seemed to be weighing a little bit more than they hoped for. Things were going great.Kit and Mitsuhide went in every day at the end of the day to just talk to June about everything and anything. Though it was always the same.
