“That was perfect.” The DA said to her as they walked back to the room where the witnesses were being held. She had almost forgot about the things that went on before she took the stand. She was riding a high of knowing that she probably sealed the deal on Cindy’s conviction with her testimony. She was smiling when she entered the room. It was beyond a smile, though. It was that she was beaming in a way. She knew after that Cindy would be put away for the longest possible time. They were trying to make it seem like he was crazy for noticing things. She looked around the room they would be in most of the day and saw that a few of the other families were there along with the young infants with them. It seemed no one was going to take a chance with the welfare of the babies in question. Six half-siblings that were born a week apart and most of them on the same day. This was the end result of the actions taken by one delusional woman. Kit had to sit down as she looked around and saw them all in one place except for theirs who were at home being guarded by an entire team of special forces.“Where are your two?” One woman asked. Kit remembered her from the care facility as being the sister of one of the women. She held the baby girl close to her.

As expected, Cindy did not take the deal that was offered. She said she thought a jury would understand her plight with everything in her life and why she had to do what she did. Kit was beyond angry about the whole thing, knowing they would all be dragged through a trail and have to relive everything again. Now they had, even more, to deal with, with the upcoming trial. The prosecution already had everything ready because of the trail before. It was all going to happen quickly, and then they hoped things could calm down for all the families involved.Kit and Mitsuhide were both going to be called as witnesses.
