The Nightmare Begins

The day was long, and it seemed like nothing was going to go right for Doctor Kit Jones. When it was finally over, she drove home, enjoying the peace in the car. Though she was still frustrated from the day and the fact that it seemed that no one around her could do the simplest of things she was trying to unwind during the traffic jam as she drove home.  Inside, the building was pandemonium as they walked in together. The staff was off to one side, and the police and investigators were asking questions. As soon as they were spotted, they were rushed into a small room. She had Mitsuhide’s hand in hers as he watched them want to get him alone. He was not having any of that as he kept her close to him. Holding her hand even tighter at times that should have hurt, but it never did. he was not letting go of his lifeline at any costs.“Mr. Akechi.  Mitsuhide snapped out his mental fog as he looked at Kit and then June. He had been lost in his fog as he thought of only his sister since he got the call, but it seemed he wasn't processing all the words he had heard. It wasn't until Kit said it like that did he realize there was another human involved as well. The baby, his sister, was carrying. The same baby that just kicked him as he touched his sister and it. “Kit, there is a baby.” He said as he realized how dumb he sounded. Of course, she knew that already.  After about an hour, more of them going back and forth with the three people Kit and Mitsuhide exhausted with the other people. Finally, they were allowed to leave. As they did, they knew this was going to be a fight. Every paper they wanted Mitsuhide to sign had some other clause written into it that would basically sign over his sister’s care to the facility and the same was for the babies as well. He was fuming as he made a stack of papers in front of him. The lawyer went to remove the papers in front of him, but Mitsuhide was faster in picking them up.   The drive home was silent. The two people in the car were thinking about the same thing in the end. Each was making a plan for the things that needed to be done in the next few days and the next few months in some regards.
