Ludwig smiled. He had dressed in black pants and a white shirt. He had combed his freshly gelled hair back and looked regal. Quickly, he wore his boots and went out of his chamber to receive his betrothed. 

At first Penny explored her new house. The place was bigger than her own place in the village. She wondered what the city must be like outside this kingdom. When she looked out from the window of her bedroom, she saw the black castle. Immediately, she drew the curtains out of hatred for him. He wanted her to be his slave, but Penny was looking for the first opportunity to escape. 

Closing the door behind her, she walked with Thomas to the place where they had lighted the bonfire. She noticed that many such were lit at considerable distances from each other. “Interesting!” she remarked. 

There was one thing she was unable to wrap around her mind. Why was his fiancé not surrendering herself to him? Why was Zoe denying him? Was being given a god-like status made having sex beneath her status? It was so obvious after the talk they had had yesterday. In a way she pitied his condition. Perhaps that is why he was so lusty. Maybe he was like that to all other girls. The thought roiled her guts. She became jealous as hell. Today she would notice him with other girls. She was sure that he was going to derive pleasure from them. She was sure that he might be doing so righ

“Hmm…” At first he wanted to say no, but he yielded, “Okay. But for that you will be obeying all my commands and won’t defy me even once, because if you do that I am going to imprison you and chain you in the dungeons underneath this castle.” He raised an eyebrow when she stilled. “Do you agree to me?” he asserted.
